When the American people voted to elect President Donald Trump to be our president for a second term, we didn’t just do so because he’s a fearless leader, we also picked him because he’s a MASTER negotiator – the perfect counter to the last four years with President Joe Biden serving as our destroyer-in-chief
In the early days of his second term, the “Art of the Deal” author has most definitely reminded the world of exactly why he’s known as one of the best negotiators on the planet, while simultaneously sending a message to the world that America is SO back.
The most notable instance of this came when the far-left Marxist leader of Colombia, President Gustavo Petro, decided he was going to “take on” the United States and its new leader.
Petro must have snorted a bit too much of his country’s leading export when he REFUSED two American military planes full of Colombian illegal criminals who the Trump admin was sending back home after deporting them.
President Trump wasn’t having it.
“Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
In that post, he announced that the United States would deploy emergency tariffs on Colombia in response to the decision, threatening to raise them as high as 50%.
“I have directed my administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures,” Trump wrote.
This included “25% tariffs on all goods coming into the United States” which would be raised to 50% in one week, “a travel ban and immediate visa revocations” for Colombian government officials, and “financial sanctions” among other things.
“These measures are just the beginning. We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!” he warned.
And before soy-boy leftists like DNC-paid shill Harry Sisson could even finish posting about how “bad” this move was for America….
Trump just announced huge penalties on Colombia. Everything just got more expensive for you and your family. There are diplomatic ways to work with countries but instead, Trump does crap like this. pic.twitter.com/sYCIZ8vIzM

The Colombian president had ALREADY caved – just 10 hours later.
Petro bent the knee to Trump and the U.S. by, not only saying his country would accept the illegals, but by offering to SEND HIS OWN PRESIDENTIAL PLANE to pick them up and bring them back to Colombia!
An official Colombian government statement said, that “under the leadership of President Gustavo Petro,” they have “arranged for the presidential plane to facilitate the dignified return of the compatriots who were to arrive in the country this morning from deportation flights.”
The White House announced that Colombia had agreed to ALL of Trump’s terms but the tariffs and sanctions would be “held in reserve, and not signed unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement.”
President Petro, meanwhile, was clearly a bit…upset… after being simply outclassed in a game of political chess which led to him posting an insanely bizarre rant about how he finds the U.S “a bit boring” and saying that he likes “going to the black neighborhoods of Washington” where he can see “entire fights between Blacks and Latinos”
TRANSLATION OF STATEMENT FROM PRESIDENT OF COLOMBIA.
Trump, I don’t really like travelling to the US, it’s a bit boring, but I confess that there are some commendable things. I like going to the black neighborhoods of Washington, where I saw an entire fight in the US capital… https://t.co/WrpxH3Myke

Then, Petro handed Trump a complete victory by reposting the White House press release announcing Trump’s victory.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. TOTAL. VICTORY.
Colombian President Petro was just forced to repost a press release from the White House saying he caved to Trump. pic.twitter.com/3EvLZep7Jv

This is the kind of thing that only Trump could pull off and it’s one of the very reasons that we voted him in.
For far too many years, our government has been led by incompetent bureaucrats who are willing to give away the farm when negotiating with foreign countries, letting other nations get rich on the back of the United States.
Joe Biden was the culmination of that.
Had this been sort of thing happened on his watch, he would have probably spent billions of taxpayer dollars to bribe Colombia just to take back their criminals (not that he would have ever dared actually deporting them.)
But thankfully, we have a real American patriot back in the White House who refuses to simply uphold the status quo in Washington.
