According to the fever dreams of the liberal Twitter exiles who are now on the social media alternative BlueSky, President Donald Trump will impose martial law in America on April 20th.
Well, it’s about time! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for Big Orange to start rounding up all the gays and locking them in concentration camps! I think I’m going to buy my wife one of those Handmaid’s Tale costumes to prepare for the new Golden Age in America!
Unfortunately, the “martial law” story is just another wacky conspiracy theory from the left that was started by James Carville, who doesn’t look like he’s doing well these days.
Carville was on a podcast last week where he and the host started moaning about how awful everything is because Orange Man Bad. They were speculating that Trump is trying to provoke unrest in America as an excuse to impose martial law. Carville insists that this will happen on April 20th and that Trump will put troops on the streets to cancel the 2026 midterm elections.
“We ought to be, on high, high alert,” insisted Bill Clinton’s former hatchet man.
So, what’s actually happening on April 20th that’s got the libs so riled up?
On his first day in office, President Trump signed an executive order directing the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to submit a report on the border crisis within 90 days. The deadline for that report is April 20th.
That joint report from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is supposed to make recommendations “regarding additional actions that may be necessary to obtain complete operational control of the southern border, including whether to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807.”
The Democrats have worked themselves into a tizzy over the Insurrection Act of 1807 because they apparently don’t have access to Wikipedia. The Insurrection Act is not the same thing as martial law. It’s a specific exception to the Posse Comitatus Act in which a president can activate troops domestically to deal with an insurrection, suppress riots, or put down an armed rebellion.
Under martial law, the Constitution would be suspended and the military would be placed in charge of the country. That’s not even close to the Insurrection Act.
We desperately need the Insurrection Act to be invoked so that the military can assist ICE with the mass deportation efforts. There are fewer than 20,000 ICE agents in America and Diaper Joe allowed close to 20 million illegal aliens into the country over the past four years. Anyone can do the math on that. ICE needs help and the military and National Guard units can certainly provide more operational assistance.
Here’s a horror story from my city in the Mojave Desert that illustrates why America needs all hands on deck to repel this invasion.
An illegal alien mom left her fentanyl pills on the kitchen counter the other day. Her toddler thought it was a bag of candy. So, he picked up his mom’s fentanyl and stuffed it in his lunchbox to share with his friends at daycare. Three toddlers went to the emergency room after eating the “candy.” Two of the daycare employees were also hospitalized after they confiscated the bag of fentanyl. Fortunately, no one died.
That’s the price of leaving the southern border open for four years. Crap like this is happening all the time now in American cities that used to be nice to live in. Child sex trafficking, drug abuse, and rampant crime are the result of all of this—and it’s a choice that the Democrat Party decided to impose on us.
The Insurrection Act isn’t going to result in curfews, checkpoints, and arrests of American citizens without due process—although you’d never believe that if you spend any time on BlueSky these days. The libs are openly calling for President Trump to be assassinated because he’s doing everything that he legally can to get these illegal alien monsters out of America.
Reports of President Trump’s looming martial law declaration are greatly exaggerated. Who knows? Maybe Noem and Hegseth will declare that the border is sufficiently secured in this report and the Insurrection Act is unnecessary. It’s fun watching the Democrats panic about every little thing that Trump does. After April 20th passes and Trump doesn’t declare martial law, what do you think their next conspiracy theory will be about?
