The FTX scandal continues to grow as it turns out that the crypto exchange used to funnel money into Democrat candidates campaign coffers also funded flawed clinical trials which served to hide the truth about effective COVID therapeutics before investing in the vaccines.
Amid the Covid pandemic, the FTX Foundation, led by disgraced FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, bankrolled a clinical trial study group known as Together.
The trials falsely claimed that medications like Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine were ‘ineffective’ methods of treating COVID.
On the homepage for TogetherTrial.com, the FTX Foundation Group is displayed as the primary funder of the research.
Together ran trials that purportedly aimed “to identify effective repurposed therapies to prevent the disease progression of COVID-19.”
“Can we use existing medications to treat people with early diagnosed COVID-19?” the Together group was supposedly tasked with figuring out.
The FTX Foundation funded clinical trials looking at several medications which at the time were being considered as possible low-cost COVID remedies, including Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.
One study published by Together in the New England Journal of Medicine looked at whether Ivermectin could be effective at preventing COVID-19 hospitalization.
The study’s concluded, “Treatment with ivermectin did not result in a lower incidence of medical admission to a hospital due to progression of Covid-19 or of prolonged emergency department observation among outpatients with an early diagnosis of Covid-19.”
The results of that study was later cited by mainstream media outlets like the New York Times who claimed it was more proof that the therapeutic “does not reduce risk of COVID hospitalization.”
Discussing the study’s results in an interview with the Times, researcher Dr. David Boulware knocked the drug, saying, “There’s really no sign of any benefit.”
“Now that people can dive into the details and the data, hopefully that will steer the majority of doctors away from ivermectin towards other therapies,” Dr. Boulware told the Times.
However, the results of Together clinical trial were questioned by the Cato Institute who warned the study may be plagued by heavy bias along with a flurry of other errors which affected the results.
The FTX backed trials also published a similar hit job on hydroxychloroquine, reaching the conclusion that, “neither hydroxychloroquine nor lopinavir-ritonavir showed any significant benefit for decreasing COVID-19–associated hospitalization or other secondary clinical outcomes.”
Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin were effective alternative therapeutics used to successfully treat COVID-19 infections which minimized the narrative supporting the vaccines – vaccines which the FTX Foundation had also conveniently invested in.
As we learn more about the collapse of FTX and how disturbingly connected Sam Bankman-Fried and his family are, the truth about everything backed by the now-defunct crypto exchange is coming to light.
