You’d think that middle class Americans were cannibalizing each other in the streets the way that multi-national corporations are squawking about tariffs. The press downplayed the past four years of misery as Joe Biden and his gaggle of unelected Democrat aides were wrecking our economy. They’re not willing to give us an honest assessment of where things are, or whether things are turning around finally. So, how are we doing? Let’s do a quick check-in.
Inflation in March was projected to come in at 2.7%. The latest figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show that it was actually 2.1%. That is the lowest that inflation has been since President Trump’s first term in office.
The inflation numbers under the Biden regime were ridiculously downplayed by BLS. They claim that inflation was 7% in 2021, 6.5% in 2022, 3.4% in 2023, and 2.9% last year. That’s a total of 19.8% over four years.
That’s nonsense. A pound of hamburger cost $2.50 when Trump left office and it’s $5.10 today. That’s over 100% inflation over a four-year period. It was difficult for the Auto-Pen regime to lie to us when we were going to the grocery store every week and watching our lifestyles crumble. If you love Cup-o-Noodles, vote for Kamala in 2028!
Prices are already starting to come down at the grocery stores. I’ve noticed a drop of 3 to 4% in the cost of some things we buy weekly in my house. Eggs keep selling out now that Trump is back in office. Many families went without after Joe Biden drove the price up to $13 a dozen in some states. Now they fly off the shelves at $4.75.
Families who were paying nearly $300 a month on baby formula (after Biden deliberately caused a formula shortage) are now down to paying around $125 a month. It’s still not the $40 a month that people were paying during Trump’s first term, but it’s a big improvement.
Tariff policy is what’s already driving food prices lower, which we’ll come back to in a bit.
The average American family lost between $7,000 and $13,000 a year during Biden’s term, thanks to the economic geniuses in the Democrat Party. By contrast, American wages increased by 0.8% in April.
That’s the first real increase in American wages since before the COVID scam. Any honest person has to look at that and call it “green shoots” in the economy. And President Trump has only been in office four months!
As for the tariffs, it’s been a bumpy road, but Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says Trump’s tariffs are going to happen—one way or another. The courts tried to throw up a roadblock last week, but an Appeals Court immediately overruled them.
President Trump has many tools in his toolbox to straighten out our one-way trade deals that benefit every country but ours. The naysayers can whine about it, but the tariffs are going to happen.
I mean, look at this dork:
The Constitution gives Congress the power to levy taxes and tariffs. Article 1, Section 8 provides that the Congress “shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises.” The president has no authority in the Constitution to unilaterally impose tariffs without… pic.twitter.com/xZp7fGXCip

Someone should ask Mr. Constitution how he feels about the fact that Congress hasn’t declared a war since 1941.
The Constitution says that tariffs are under the authority of the legislative branch (Congress). But Congress has ceded that authority to the president under the Emergency Powers Act. Any president has authority to regulate the economy during times of a national emergency.
If four years of hyperinflation and economic misery under Joe Biden isn’t a national emergency, then nothing is.
We predicted during President Trump’s first month back in office that food prices would come crashing down before the upcoming Thanksgiving. That prediction still stands.
The fact that President Trump and his team have managed to turn the economy around so quickly just proves that the last four years of economic destruction were deliberate. Joe Biden and his sidekick, Drunk Sorority Girl, could have taken steps to turn things around. They chose to lie to us instead.
Americans went from eating steak and potatoes to eating Mac n’ Cheese with hot dogs, and the Joe Biden lookalikes told us that we were living through the best economy in history. The Democrats should never be forgiven for what they did to us.
So, things are getting better. Wrecking an economy doesn’t take very long but turning it around does. President Trump and his team know what they’re doing. Republicans in Congress could still manage to screw things up (always a possibility), but we should all be hopeful for the future.
