The news shows have been saturated with coverage of the horrifying shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis. The shooter, Robert Westman, was a transgender who went by the name “Robin.” Every Democrat and Hollywood celebrity is now calling for new levels of gun control, gun confiscation, red flag laws, blah blah blah. None of those “solutions” would solve this problem. Sadly, even some so-called Republicans are talking about gun control instead of addressing the real problem that led Robert Westman to pick up the gun in the first place.
Here’s a person whose sell-by date passed more than a decade ago, former Republican congressman and Russia hoaxer Trey Gowdy:
Trey Gowdy should take a course of ivermectin. Maybe it would kill those brainworms that turned him into a liberal pansy. It’s hard to believe that’s the same guy who once called for gun control laws in all 50 states to be abolished, so that we’d finally have unity in the courts on the Second Amendment.
Other Republicans, up to and including President Trump, have called for a mental health registry to prevent those people from buying guns. Conservative figures like Matt Walsh and Charlie Kirk have voiced support for this idea. With all due respect to all of them, that’s not a solution either.
Who gets to decide who the crazy people are, so they can be put on the list and prevented from buying guns? Right now, in 2025, the American Psychiatric Association is publishing peer-reviewed “studies” every month. Those studies declare that MAGA voters and military veterans are all mentally ill. But Robert Westman? He was perfectly sane, according to those medical professionals! Nothing wrong with “her!”
Let’s pretend for a second that mass door-to-door gun confiscation from non-criminals could work in America, and that it didn’t get a bunch of cops killed or start a civil war. If they took all the guns away from law-abiding citizens, what then?
Someone like Robert Westman would walk into a school or a grocery store or a daycare with a machete or an axe. What then? Do we start a registry of knives, shovels, spoons, and lawn mowers? Before you know it, we’d have turned ourselves into Great Britain, and American police would be arresting 14-year-old girls for defending themselves against illegal alien rapists with household cutlery.
Confiscating guns, creating mental health registries, or any of these other “solutions” would not stop the next Robert Westman from doing harm. And there will be a next Robert Westman.
Robert Westman is absolutely guilty of the crime he committed. If he hadn’t offed himself in the commission of those murders, we would absolutely support having the fathers of those deceased children hang him from the nearest lamppost. There’s no “turning the other cheek” with a killer who turns a gun on Christian children.
But…
Westman is also a victim in this story. Because no one is born transgender. Trans kids are created. Transgender people are a downstream symptom of the real problem.
If you dig into the killer’s past, we already know what will be found. There will be school counselors, psychologists, teachers, administrators, and possibly a liberal white mom involved in this story. When Robert Westman was a scared and confused child, those people all said to him, “You know what, Robert? You’re actually a girl on the inside. Let’s pump you full of hormones and puberty blockers. You can start wearing dresses, and maybe we’ll cut your wiener off. Because you’re a REAL girl!”
Every adult who “affirmed” Robert Westman and told him that he was really a girl is guilty in this story. The people who were supposed to help a scared and confused young boy were the ones who loaded the gun. The child murders in Minneapolis were their fault.
Until we address that problem, no amount of gun confiscation or Trey Gowdy’s moaning about “young white males” is going to solve this. We all know that transgenderism is false. So, why are we putting up with this as a society?
The solution to this problem is to criminalize the transing of kids. We need a total ban on healthcare workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and teachers participating in this evil. There needs to be stiff prison sentences for anyone trying to convince boys that they are girls or vice versa.
The solution is not to take your guns away. The solution is to stop these psychopaths from creating additional Robert Westmans.
