Obama’s Intelligence Chiefs Exposed: New Report Shows Brennan, Clapper Lied About Steele Dossier in Russian Collusion Hoax

The Russia collusion hoax has always smelled like a political hit job, but now we have receipts—and they’re worse than anyone imagined. In a bombshell new report from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, the so-called “guardians of democracy” in the Obama administration are now fully exposed as the ones who nearly burned it down.

It turns out the real threat to democracy wasn’t Donald Trump. It was Barack Obama and his intelligence chiefs—James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey—weaponizing their agencies to fabricate a storyline that Donald Trump was a Kremlin asset.

Gabbard’s release shows that Brennan and Clapper didn’t just rely on bad intelligence. They deliberately inserted the now-debunked Steele dossier into their official intelligence assessment on Russian interference—despite repeatedly swearing up and down they didn’t.

Let’s be clear: these weren’t innocent “oopsies.” These were deliberate moves to sway an election and undermine a sitting president.

Brennan and Clapper Lied—and Now We Can Prove It

For years, Brennan and Clapper have told Congress and the media they never included Christopher Steele’s dossier in their intelligence assessment. Brennan told Congress in 2017 that the infamous collection of rumors and bar gossip wasn’t “in any way used as the basis for the intelligence community’s assessment.” Clapper echoed the same line, calling it “separate and apart” from their work.

They lied.

Newly declassified documents obliterate those denials, proving that the Steele dossier was not only included but “integral” to the intelligence community assessment delivered to Obama and later used to brief Trump and lawmakers. As The Federalist details, the evidence “flatly contradicts years of testimony and public statements from Brennan and Clapper, who claimed the dossier played no role in the official assessment.”

And they didn’t do this in a vacuum. These men—supposedly the most trusted intelligence officials in the nation—did it to feed a narrative that Donald Trump was an illegitimate president.

The Real Election Interference

Obama’s officials like to posture as democracy’s last line of defense. But as the Gabbard report makes clear, they were the ones playing with matches.

“The Democratic establishment and Obama-era deep staters who conspired to concoct and promote the Trump-Russia collusion hoax were not protecting democracy. They were undermining it,” The Federalist writes.

Consider the timing. In 2016, Hillary Clinton was the anointed candidate. The Steele dossier—created by ex-British spy Christopher Steele who had been hired by opposition research firm, Fusion GPS, who was hired by the Clinton campaign’s law firm, Perkins-Coie to compile dirt on Donald Trump—was given to the FBI by Clinton surrogates. Comey, Brennan and Clapper then took the salacious claims from Trump’s political rival to frame Trump as a Putin puppet and help their preferred candidate Hillary Clinton win the election. They laced it into their intelligence reports, fed it to the media, and set the stage for years of political chaos.

When Trump won anyway, they doubled down. This wasn’t just about damaging his reputation. It was about hobbling his presidency—maybe even clearing the way for Clinton or another Democratic insider to swoop back in.

Obama Knew

And let’s not forget who was at the top of the pyramid. Brennan, Clapper, and Comey didn’t work in a vacuum. These assessments went to President Obama himself.

As The Federalist bluntly puts it: “These were not rogue agents freelancing. This was a coordinated effort within the Obama White House to keep Clinton in play and sabotage Trump.”

Obama publicly played the role of the cool, detached statesman, but his fingerprints are all over this mess. He was briefed on the dossier, signed off on intelligence operations rooted in it, and allowed his top officials to run with what they knew was shaky at best and outright fabricated at worst.

FBI documents released by Gabbard showed that “per [Obama’s] direction” intelligence leaders broke protocol to overrule the findings of agents and input their own findings based on the infamously fake Steele Dossier, despite the intel community admitting at the time that they had low confidence in the dossier’s reporting.

A Plot Against Trump—and the Voters

The collusion hoax wasn’t just an attack on Trump. It was an attack on the American people who elected him. By crafting falsified intelligence reports and feeding a media frenzy, Obama’s intel chiefs sought to overturn the will of voters.

As Gabbard’s report makes clear, this wasn’t about protecting America from foreign influence. It was about protecting the Democrats’ grip on power.

And they almost pulled it off. The Steele dossier—once dismissed as a sideshow—became the cornerstone of a years-long smear campaign. It fueled FBI investigations, justified secret surveillance warrants, and helped Democrats and the corporate media cast a shadow over Trump’s presidency.

The Reckoning

With these new documents, the mask is off. Brennan, Clapper, and Comey—once hailed as the sober-minded stewards of national security—look a lot more like political operatives in suits. And Obama, the man who promised “the most transparent administration in history,” now appears as the silent conductor of one of the most destructive political hoaxes ever unleashed on the American public.

If you want to talk about a real “threat to democracy,” look no further than Obama and his intelligence cabal.

The American people deserve answers. They deserve accountability. And they deserve to know that the next time a group of bureaucrats decides they don’t like the outcome of an election, they won’t be able to weaponize the intelligence community to nullify their vote.

Because that’s exactly what Brennan, Clapper, Comey—and yes, Obama—tried to do. And now, thanks to Tulsi Gabbard’s report, the evidence is undeniable.
