Oregon health officials met last week to discuss options to implement a permanent indoor mask mandate statewide.
The Oregon Health Authority met with a Rules Advisory Committee to discuss options regarding the potential new regulation. Could Oregon really past a permanent indoor mask mandate? The discussion is real, but the idea of permanent refers to the state passing a single regulation for indoor masking until the ban can be lifted.
In contrast, the current masking rules have to be reimposed on an ongoing basis, something state leaders are seeking a way to avoid.
Still, many in Oregon and nationwide see the discussion as a bad move, especially when coronavirus numbers are on the decline overall nationwide and millions have already received vaccines and even booster shots.
“Oregon – one of only a handful of states that still has an indoor mask mandate – is working to make that rule permanent,” Portland’s KATU-TV reported.
“Permanent means indefinite…we can repeal it as well, but we are only allowed to have a temporary rule for 180 days,” the report added.
When other states are largely rolling back regulations for masks, Oregon and a few other blue states (especially New York) are ramping up requirements.
In contrast, open states like Texas and Florida have lower case numbers than California, despite fewer restrictions, leading many to wonder how effective additional requirements would help.
Is this really the future we want for our nation? There’s a reason many counties in Oregon want to break away and join neighboring conservative Idaho. There’s a reason people continue to move out of Oregon and into Texas, Florida, Idaho, Tennessee and other conservative states. It’s not just politics. It’s simply the freedom to live life with less government intrusion and overreach.
Oregon isn’t even among the top states in number of cases. California is. As of Dec. 7, Oregon has 9,401 cases per 100,000 people. California has 12,976.
New York, one of the most restrictive states in the country, has case numbers nearly as high as Florida that has nearly no restrictions.
Let’s keep in mind that it’s not COVID shutting the nation down; it’s the government. When you look at the states that are flourishing today, it’s those that have chosen to give people more freedom, not less.
Why is it that Oregon will allow rioters to destroy Portland, yet force law-abiding citizens to mask up indoors forever? The only science this trend follows in political science, not the data regarding the coronavirus.
Instead, the people of Oregon need to rise up and oppose the new restrictions before it gets any worse. It doesn’t look like the leftist governor is going to give back power to the people anytime soon, so it’s up to those who care about their freedom to do something about it.
The same is true across the rest of the nation. It’s time to stand up for our rights rather than sit and complain about them being taken away. You can start today, making a difference right where you are.

It’s not a coincidence that 2 states on opposite sides of the country are enacting unconstitutional mandates at the behest of our foreign controllers. Those controllers are most concentrated in New York & their agents (sayanim) & puppet politicians are strategically placed all across the nation. It’s time to go after them by force. That is what history shows as the most effective way to deal with them. We have one of them in Illinois as governor. each state is responsible for taking action in their own back yard. Forget Biden & the federal government. Epstein took care of the loose end politicians.

As an Oregon resident I have been vaccinated…. no not going to get the booster, I have trouble with my blood pressure since getting the second jab. I am a law abiding citizen who hates the fact that masks ? are the new fashion statement and also voting for our county to join Idaho. This has been the most ridiculous of most of the laws Oregon govener has already imposed on our citizens, the second was when she put life and death in the hands of doctors concerning the elderly that have been diagnosed with alzheimers… yep a doctor can now decide who should be treated like a dog and put down because they have a disease. No family has the right to question it or stop it. Life for the young and old does not matter in our beautiful state.
