Fox News hosts lathered Joe Biden in praise after he managed to get through his acceptance speech without any major gaffes or going off script with stories about “Corn Pop” or how black kids liked to run their fingers through his leg hair. Dana Perino and Chris Wallace blathered on and on about how “well-delivered” Biden’s speech was and how it was positive and “inspirational”. The feel-good message was along the lines of Star Wars’ character Obi-Wan Kenobi: “Come away from the dark side and into the light of Socialism and feel better about yourselves.”
The problem is that Joe Biden is not inspirational, and President Trump is no Darth Vader. Biden’s speech following the lackluster and oh-so-predictable Trump bashing of the usual cast of superannuated Democrat bad pennies may have been the high point of his candidacy.
The novelty of Veep candidate Kamala Harris will likewise dissipate after people realize she was chosen both as a racial token and because she’s a closet soul sister of that loon Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In fact, Kamala’s acceptance speech had all the vibrancy of a high school valedictorian. Word is that one of her strong points is that she can be an attack dog to go after President Trump.
Yeah, like a Yorkie yappy terrier against a pit bull, maybe. We saw how President Trump handled Hillary Clinton. It was almost (but not quite) painful to watch.
One thing you don’t want to give your opponent is a chance to a turn twisted metaphor like “dark vs. light” and shine the very light of reality on them. And that’s what Joe and Kamala did.
What voters are interested in most are good jobs, law and order, and a strong national defense. Yes, they would like all the nastiness, rancor, and gridlock to go away. But the reality is that our founders left us with a republic that can only function well when blood enemies can somehow compromise for the common good.
The new partisan reality is that one cannot compromise with leftists and Democrat progressivism. President Trump knows that socialism must be defeated. Compromise is not an option.
It is the insidious creep of progressivism and socialism that has inserted communists clothed as Democrats into our national leadership. Their latest useful idiot is Joe Biden, who is sort of “normal” in the sense that he has been a crustacean denizen of the Washington, DC deep state since before the first Star Wars movie.
Nevertheless, Joe is the guy Democrats had to settle on, because there are still normal people in flyover country who remember the Democrat party as being for working people. Yeah, they know that Barack Obama cast them aside in favor of identity politics, but his election did atone somewhat for slavery, Jim Crow and the rest of the racism their party inflicted on our country.
So, look for Joe and Kamala to try to harness their inner unicorns with no mention of defunding police or saying anything bad about rioters, looters, anarchists and people who hate our country with the white-hot heat of a thousand suns.
The problem for them is that it won’t work.
We saw it when Republicans played videos of what the Democrats refer to as “peaceful protests.” In the Senate, the effect was so dramatic that that crazy Mazie Hirono, Democrat Senator from Hawaii, pulled a reverse Jack Nicholson “You can’t handle the truth!” and walked out of the hearing room.
Yeah, Mazie. That was all nothing but propaganda from President Trump. You and your Democrat reality deniers need to come back to the light.
But don’t worry. It is President Trump’s turn to shine the light of objective common sense on the harm Democrats are inflicting on our country–as you all scurry like roaches away from the truth.
