Republicans Kick Off “Let’s Lose 2026” Season Right on Schedule

Have you noticed that the Republican Party has been stinking the place up a lot for the past few weeks? They botched the release of the Epstein files and the messaging around it. They completely ignore the plight of American workers who are begging for help from the broken Biden economy, while passing silly resolutions that no one cares about. That’s not an accident. They do this every time. We have less than 12 months to the 2026 midterm elections, so the Republican Party is planning to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.

How did Republicans manage to make such a hash of the Epstein files release? Based on all the available evidence, it doesn’t look like Jeffrey Epstein was ever friends with any Republican. Has any prominent member of the GOP ever been outed as a frequent visitor to his island or other properties? Did he ever manage money for any prominent Republican?

It seems like Jeffrey Epstein played solely on the blue side of the fence. This should have been an easy layup for Republicans. Just release the completely unredacted files and watch all the Democrats poop their pants while running to pull the fire alarm.

But noooOOOOooo!

House Speaker Mike Johnson had to throw a huge hissy fit about the bill, even after he had voted for it. Plus, have you read the Epstein Files Transparency Act? Attorney General Pam Bondi now has 30 days to release the files. She’s supposed to redact anything that could “jeopardize national security.”

If Bondi redacts any of the files now, it will serve as endless fuel for Democrat Party conspiracy theories right through the next election. They’ll use the files as a bludgeon against Donald Trump non-stop.

Next, the Communist foreigner Zoltar Mamalamadingdong, who just became the new Mayor of New York City, paid a symbolic visit to the White House. President Trump was his usual charming self. The commie lied through his teeth about a bunch of things. They shook hands. No big whoop. Every newly elected NYC mayor does the exact same thing.

But to prove that they really have their finger on the pulse of the American electorate, House Republicans passed a resolution the same day to… condemn socialism.

I’m sorry, what?

Here was the vote:

Then, the Republicans bragged that some of the Democrats had “outed” themselves by voting against the resolution.

Hey, dummies in the GOP: We already knew that the Democrats are a bunch of socialists. AND WE DON’T CARE! That’s not what will drive people to the polls for you next year!

The number one problem that everyone is complaining about right now is affordability. Hamburger is $6 a pound. People are having trouble making ends meet, even if they’re working two or three jobs. Joe Biden’s Autopen Team wrecked the economy so badly that many Americans are now barely surviving.

And you just passed some silly resolution condemning socialism? Thanks, clowns. Maybe tomorrow you can remind everyone that smoking is bad for their health.

Can these people do something that actually benefits the American people? Like… just one thing?

What happened to all of those packages of DOGE cuts that were “lined up like planes on a runway?” Republicans passed one tiny $8 billion package of cuts a few months ago, and nothing since then. They can’t even get federal spending back down to pre-COVID levels, which might finally put a lid on Biden’s inflation that’s still ravaging the country.

So, what else is the Republican Party working on right now?

Sabotaging President Trump’s peace plans for Joe Biden’s war in Ukraine.

GOP Senators and Representatives are attacking the president for the administration’s 28-point plan to wind down the war. Ukraine has lost the war badly, and the only thing they can continue to do is turn more Ukrainian soldiers into red paste by sending them to the always-shrinking front lines. It’s time to end it.

It’s not as if Donald Trump made it a big secret that he wanted peace between Ukraine and Russia. But the establishment Republicans don’t even want to give him that. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX), and the usual batch of neocon losers are trying to actively undermine the deal.

So, it’s a normal midterm election year for the Republican Party! They hate being in power, but they love being in office. They’re perfectly fine with letting Democrats run everything, so they can send us fundraising pitches while promising to address our grievances. Same old, same old.
