Uh Oh: Look Who Fang Fang’s Boyfriend Has Been Paying with Donor Funds

Pleasanton, CA - March 1, 2023: Eric Swalwell, representive for California’s 15th congressional district, speaking with constituents at a Town Hall meeting.

Sometimes, we almost feel guilty for picking on Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA). There is an aspect to it that feels like we’re teasing the Special Ed kid. But then we remember what a nasty and vicious hack the little Russia hoaxer is, and that quiets our better angels. Good ol’ Eric could now be in trouble with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) because of the way that he’s been spending campaign donor funds.

Swalwell is famous for three major things: farting on camera, running for president as a Democrat and failing miserably, and being the only member of Congress (that we know of) who was dumb enough to have a sexual affair with an obvious Chinese spy. Fang Fang easily wormed her way into the not-very-bright Swalwell’s life and wrecked his first marriage.

The Chinese spy raised money for his political campaigns and even managed to plant a Chinese spy intern inside his congressional office. This all happened while Swalwell was on the powerful House Intelligence Committee. He had no idea that Fang Fang was stealing America’s most classified secrets right under his nose. Even though “Fang Fang” is probably Chinese for, “Hey, look at me, you moron! I am LITERALLY A CHINESE SPY!”

Swalwell could be in trouble now because of his FEC filings. He’s been spending an awful lot of campaign donor funds on bizarre payments to a Haitian immigrant named Darly Meyer. The filings from Swalwell for Congress and his Remedy PAC show that he’s been paying Meyer $120,000 per year since 2021.

The filings show that the payments are for conflicting reasons. The payments are listed for “event flowers reimbursement,” “salary,” “travel expenses,” “car service,” and “security services.” This Darly Meyer guy is like a one-stop shop! For a Haitian immigrant, he certainly provides Eric Swalwell with a diverse range of services. Speaking of which, were there no Americans that Swalwell could find to work for him?

Given his lack of judgment about foreigners in his life, it’s worth asking Swalwell why he’s paying a Haitian immigrant $10,000 a month with money that people donated to him. So, several news outlets have asked him.

Swalwell’s curt reply is, “Darly protects me and my family.” (Good ol’ Eric has remarried since the FBI allowed Fang Fang to flee back to China.)

Okay. Maybe that makes sense. Swalwell is an obnoxious failed presidential candidate, so maybe he legitimately does need to hire security for himself.

But… Darly Meyer doesn’t seem to have a security license in California. All private security providers are supposed to be licenses through the state’s Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Meyer has no such license.

He does, however, own a limousine service in North Hollywood, which is 350 miles south of Eric Swalwell’s district. Meyer’s company is called CYD Global Car Service, and it brags that it provides “luxury travel” and “professional chauffeurs.”

Donor funds are only allowed to be spent on things that are directly related to campaigning. It sure looks like Eric Swalwell has been squandering donor funds so he can trot around in a limo like he’s Mr. Monopoly.

Swalwell has a history of using donor money in sketchy ways like this. When he took a trip to Dubai in 2023, he stayed at the $1,700-a-night Burj Al Arab Hotel. Sounds swanky, doesn’t it? What exactly was the California congressman campaigning for on that trip to Dubai, by the way?

He also spent $17,000 that year to rent a private yacht for a weekend in San Francisco. In October, November, and December of 2023, Swalwell spent $90,000 in donor funds on additional hotel stays in San Francisco, Austin, and New York City. In 2022, he spent $1,752 to stay one night at the Hotel La Maison Champs-Élysées in Paris.

This looks illegal as hell. Eric Swalwell is thoroughly unlikeable and not very important. He’s not being bankrolled by George Soros. Most of his campaign money comes from individual contributions by everyday people in California. It would be a shame if all those people stopped donating to Swalwell, if they were to find out that he’s blowing $10,000 a month on private limousine services and other lavish expenses.

It would also be a shame if the FEC took a closer look at how Swalwell is spending the money. It sounds like a lot of private use of donor funds, which is illegal. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!
