The United States has sent tens of billions of American tax-payer dollars to Ukraine with ZERO oversight, and it turns out the Ukrainian government is as corrupt as they come!
Numerous high ranking officials within the Ukrainian government have been forced to RESIGN after having been caught being part of a large scale corruption ring.
Roughly a dozen officials called it quits over allegations of corruption including bribery, mismanaging aid funds and embezzlement – all of which were designed to take advantage of the aid that the United States has been sending!
Among those who stepped aside: a top presidential adviser, two defense officials, and other regional governors in the areas where the conflict with Russia is most prominent.
The defense ministry had earlier announced the resignation of deputy minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who was in charge of the army’s logistical support, after learning he was signing food contracts at inflated prices – potentially to receive kickbacks from the food vendors while taking advantage of the billions in foreign aid.
Under Shapovalov’s direction, they were paying two to three times higher than current rates for food items, reports say.
But not like he would care – it’s not his money after all!
Shapovalov’s resignation letter revealed that he was only stepping down because he had been caught and did not want to pose a risk to the massive inflow of American money into Ukraine.
Another official named Vasyl Lozynskiy was accused of receiving bribes to “facilitate” the purchase of generators at massively overinflated prices – similar to what was occurring in Shapalov’s instance of corruption.
Deputy head of the Zelensky administration, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, meanwhile has been accused of living an ultra-luxurious lifestyle during the ongoing war – suggesting he’s using American tax-payer dollars to fund his exorbitant living.
Other top officials have been caught taking luxurious vacations in foreign countries – at a time when fighting aged men are not even allowed to leave Ukraine, and must instead stay to fight in the war.
Our government has been blindly funneling billions into this shady foreign country and this scandal is so obvious that even the mainstream media has begun reporting on Ukraine’s well-known history as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
“Transparency International ranked Ukraine 122 out of 180 in its corruption ranking for 2021,” the AFP now writes (the second most corrupt in Europe, with Russia the most at 136.)
Sadly, this corruption is likely just the tip of the iceberg and we have no clue what’s REALLY going on with the majority of the funds being sent to Ukraine as the American government continues to fund corruption overseas while working class Americans struggle just to make ends meet.
One thing’s for certain, the next time Zelensky shows up in Washington wearing sweatpants begging for more money to “save democracy,” don’t forget that he and others within his government have been living quite the life while supposedly being in the middle of a warzone – and for some reason, the American taxpayer has been bankrolling the entire thing.
