Oh, gosh, what a surprise. “Bulldog” John Durham failed to convict Crooked Hillary’s lawyer Andrew Sussmann on a charge of lying to the FBI. If you have any doubts whatsoever that America operates under a two-tiered system of justice, look no further than the way Sussmann was dealt with by that system.
Sussmann lied to the FBI about the Russia hoax. This is not an allegation; it was proven in court. And then a jury acquitted Sussmann and he won’t even be disbarred over this. He’ll be just fine. Crooked Hillary’s lawyer is getting away scot-free.
Remember how 70-year-old Roger Stone was treated by the Justice Department? Stone testified before Congress and misremembered details from an email exchange that he had had years previously. He was accused of “lying to Congress.”
An FBI SWAT team raided Stone’s home in the middle of the night. Agents with machine guns handcuffed him as an FBI helicopter swirled around above his house. As if the 70-year-old was going to make a run for it.
The Justice Department then set about trying to destroy Roger Stone’s life. He lost all his wealth fighting the false charges that were leveled against him. He’s lucky he didn’t have a heart attack or stroke as he was going through that whole deal.
Stone was convicted and sentenced to 40 years in prison, which could very well have been a death sentence for him. Fortunately, President Trump pardoned Stone.
Lying to Congress? Everyone lies to Congress!
James Clapper, John Brennan and James Comey have lied to Congress on camera and under oath many times. None of them have ever been visited by the Justice Department.
Andrew Sussmann did worse than that. He lied to the FBI. As a consequence of that lie, the higher-ups in the FBI opened the entire Russia collusion hoax. It resulted in American foreign policy toward Russia being subverted during the Trump administration. Trump could have and would have normalized relations with Russia and would have made the world a safer place as a result. If Trump’s second term hadn’t been stolen from him, there wouldn’t be a war going on in Ukraine right now. There wouldn’t be rampant stagflation. There wouldn’t have been 12 service men and women killed during our exit from Afghanistan.
But because of Sussmann’s proven lie and a criminal conspiracy against a sitting president, Trump had to play more of a hardliner against Russia. He couldn’t even give the appearance of wanting normalized relations with Vladimir Putin, because the Russian collusion hoax may very well have destroyed his presidency.
There was never any chance of Sussmann being declared guilty, however. He wasn’t even formally arrested by the FBI, let alone raided before dawn with machine guns and swirling helicopters. The judge presiding over Sussmann’s case was a partisan hack appointed by Barack Obama. And the jury pool was selected in Washington, DC – the only municipality in America where Crooked Hillary won 96% of the vote in 2016.
Three of the jurors had donated money to Crooked Hillary’s campaign. One juror had donated money to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Another juror had a daughter who played on the same school sports team as Andrew Sussmann’s daughter. In the words of George Washington University law professor Johnathan Turley, “With the exception of randomly selecting people out of DNC headquarters, you could not come up with a worse jury.”
Durham had to know this going into the attempted prosecution of Sussmann. Yet he didn’t even attempt to ask for a different venue for the case. The whole thing was rigged from the start, in other words.
Durham will next try to prosecute Igor Danchenko in October. Danchenko is the guy who fed many of the lies in the fake Russian potty dossier to former British spy Christopher Steele. Maybe Durham will get a conviction against Danchenko, or maybe not. But does anyone really care at this point?
What we have really wanted to see, in order to restore our faith in the justice system, is the arrests of James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Crooked Hillary herself for the Russia collusion hoax. We can safely say the Durham probe was a rigged game from the start at this point. He’s too slow and he’s going after the smallest possible fish in the pond.
Congratulations to Sussmann for beating the rap. It must be nice to be playing for the team that never seems to have their lives interrupted for the same alleged crimes that destroy the lives of Trump supporters.
