Nancy Pelosi Doesn’t Hate Donald Trump–Just the Normal Folks Who Voted for Him

At her press conference announcing the go-ahead on impeaching president Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed to be channeling both Benjamin Franklin and Mother Teresa. Yes, we have our republic, but we need her to help us keep it. She was prayerful and, like our hallowed founders, she is relying on God’s guidance in this time of national calamity.

Leading the charge against all that calamity have been Nancy’s shifting talking points–the hallowed whistleblower, the quid pro quo, and charges of bribery. Those poorly performing focus group zingers have exited stage left now.

The latest hoax is to mold an out-of-context quote by the President into the new basis for impeachment. Pelosi’s charge: “The president said — Article I is the legislative branch. Article II is the executive branch. The president said, Article II says I can do whatever I want.”

What President Trump actually said was that under Article II of the Constitution that he had full authority to fire Robert Mueller: “…Article II allows me to do whatever I want. Article II would allow me to fire him.”

So, let’s recap here: First, there was collusion with Russia where Bob Mueller refused to exonerate President Trump. Then we had some insubordinate and conceited Lieutenant Colonel who was probably the guy behind the whistleblower. That was followed by a group of State Department rumor mongers and gripers with secondhand information and personal conjecture.

Nervous Nancy doesn’t seem to understand that bitterness, hate, and frustration over losing an election cannot be the basis for removing the President. And just how do the biased opinions of three left-wing law professors shore up a case based on no evidence?

So, what is it all about? It has to be animosity and hatred.

In fact, when a reporter shouted out the question, “Do you hate the President?” her reaction was immediate and strident. Like a high-strung hunting dog reacting to the shout of “squirrel!” Nancy snapped back, “We don’t hate anybody, not anybody in the world.” Then she pulled her religion card and said that “as a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in the sentence that addresses me.”

Yes, she continued, “I don’t hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is—a heart full of love, and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. I pray for the president all the time.” (One wonders if those prayers are for blessings or afflictions. But she was on a roll, and nobody called her on that.)

Then Nancy got tough: “So, don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that.”

Wait. During Bill Clinton’s impeachment in 1998, she actually used “words like that” in a speech on the House floor. The Republicans, she charged, were acting out of hate for President Clinton.

Her final say on the matter was a saccharine, gag-inducing, pretentious wrap-up–which probably caused our founders to roll over in their graves: “The president leaves us no choice but to act. Sadly, but with confidence and humility, with allegiance to our founders and a heart full of love for America, today I am asking our chairmen to proceed with Articles of Impeachment.”

If the speaker’s heart was overflowing with “love for America,” she would not be insulting everyone’s intelligence with her hypocrisy and this sham of a time-wasting impeachment.

Watch Nancy Pelosi lose her mind in this exchange with a reporter when asked if she hates President Trump.
