Picture this: the government creates a virus, lies about where it came from, censors the scientists who know the truth, pays off the ones who don’t, and then uses the chaos to expand its power over your life. No, this isn’t the plot of a rejected Netflix thriller. This is the real-world playbook from the CIA and the so-called “Intelligence Community” during the COVID-19 pandemic. And thanks to new emails uncovered by Senator Rand Paul’s office, we now know their fingerprints are all over this mess—going back years before a single mask was ever worn.
Let’s start with Dr. Ralph Baric. If you’ve never heard of him, that’s by design. Baric, a top coronavirus researcher at the University of North Carolina, was working hand-in-glove with the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That’s right—the same lab at the center of the lab-leak theory. And guess who was holding quarterly meetings with him starting in 2015? The CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. What were they talking about? Oh, just “coronavirus evolution” and “possible human adaptation.” Translation: how to make viruses more dangerous to people. Totally normal stuff, right?
Fast forward to 2019. According to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh, the CIA had a spy embedded in the Wuhan lab doing “offensive and defensive work” with pathogens. That asset reported a lab accident in early 2020—before the world even knew what COVID was. Did the Intelligence Community raise the alarm? Nope. They buried it.
Then, in spring 2020, the CIA allegedly offered bribes to its own analysts to change their assessment that the virus came from a lab. Six out of seven believed COVID was lab-made. But after “significant monetary incentives,” that conclusion magically changed. I guess “follow the science” really meant “follow the money.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci—America’s favorite unelected bureaucrat—started holding secret meetings at CIA headquarters. No logs, no oversight. Just cozy chats about how to steer the origin story away from the uncomfortable truth. A whistleblower put it bluntly: “He knew what was going on… He was covering his ass.”
By 2021, scientists in the Department of Defense had solid evidence of a lab leak. But Biden’s Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, banned them from briefing the president. That’s not science. That’s sabotage.
And don’t forget censorship. DHS launched a program called “switchboarding,” where government officials dictated what Big Tech could allow online. Then came the infamous “Disinformation Governance Board,” a real-life Ministry of Truth run by a social media singing sensation with a Mary Poppins complex. You can’t make this up.
So what was the real goal? Control. The populist wave that brought Trump to power in 2016 terrified the old guard. He was an outsider, a wrecking ball aimed at the deep state. And just as he was rising, the CIA and its allies were quietly laying down the groundwork for pandemic manipulation. From pandemic “simulations” like Event 201 to backdoor deals with scientists, the pieces were in place before the first case hit the headlines.
And when the virus finally escaped—or was released?—they seized the moment. Lockdowns, mail-in voting, censorship, economic disruption, and a whole lot of power shifts. All under the guise of public health.
If this isn’t the biggest scandal in modern American history, it’s certainly the most under-investigated. Where’s the accountability? Where are the subpoenas? Why hasn’t Baric testified under oath? Why was Fauci allowed to influence an intelligence probe from the inside?
We don’t just need answers. We need consequences. Because if this is what they did during a pandemic, imagine what they’ll do during an election. Or worse, what they already have.
