Imagine launching your company, taking it public, and then — poof — your bank shuts you down. Not because you bounced a check, not because of fraud, but because your company has “Trump” in the name. That’s exactly what happened to Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social. And now, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is turning the tables and asking some very uncomfortable questions — questions that JPMorgan Chase and the Biden DOJ would probably prefer stay buried under bureaucratic mumbo jumbo.
Let’s unpack this.
The Biden administration’s pet project, a political witch hunt disguised as a legal probe and codenamed “Arctic Frost,” has been snooping through the financial records of over 400 Republicans. Apparently, the Department of Justice under Biden decided that due process is optional if you disagree with them politically.
And who helped them? JPMorgan Chase — the same bank that just so happened to debank Trump Media right after it went public. Suspicious timing? Florida’s AG thinks so.
According to a letter obtained by The Daily Wire, Uthmeier wrote to JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon expressing “grave concerns” about the bank’s cooperation with Arctic Frost. He pointed out that JPMorgan was subpoenaed by the Biden DOJ on March 28, 2023 — not just for records after Trump Media existed, but for ones from before it even existed. That’s like subpoenaing a baby for crimes committed before it was born. It crosses the line. And it makes it obvious this was a witch hunt, not a hunt for evidence of a crime.
Now, here’s where it gets more twisted than a D.C. ethics hearing. JPMorgan started grilling Trump Media with what it called “due diligence” questions — questions that, conveniently, had nothing to do with banking and everything to do with political fishing for their Biden overlords. Then, right after Trump Media finalized its merger in March 2024, JPMorgan pulled the plug and closed their bank accounts. At the exact moment the company was going public. During an election season.
Devin Nunes, the former congressman turned Trump Media CEO, nailed it when he said on Fox News, “We just became a public company in 2024 and we were nowhere around in 2021 on January 6. So why would Trump Media be subpoenaed at that time during this investigation? It doesn’t make any sense.”
Unless, of course, the goal wasn’t justice. It was sabotage.
And let’s not forget, even JPMorgan’s own CEO, Jamie Dimon, admitted earlier this year that “the rules and requirements are so onerous” that banks were being forced to debank people who shouldn’t be. Dimon even praised Trump’s executive order cracking down on politicized debanking. So why did his bank still go along with Arctic Frost? Is this Dimon trying to walk both sides of the street, or did Biden’s DOJ twist his arm harder than a union boss at a ballot counting center?
Florida’s AG isn’t buying Dimon’s excuses. He’s launched a full-scale investigation and directed his Office of Statewide Prosecution to dig into whether JPMorgan violated state laws on fraud, discrimination, and debanking. And frankly, it’s about time someone held these financial Goliaths accountable.
Because this isn’t just about one company losing a bank account — it’s about a government using its power to silence political enemies and a bank rolling over to help. This is what weaponized government looks like. It’s what happens when unelected prosecutors with axes to grind get access to your bank records without a shred of probable cause.
Trump Media wasn’t even around during January 6. But that didn’t stop the Biden and Jack Smith from dragging them into the Arctic Frost witch hunt. Why? Because they had the wrong politics. Because they dared to build a platform that didn’t bow to the leftist mob. And because they had the audacity to have “Trump” in the name.
So here we are — in 2025 — watching Florida do what the feds won’t: ask the hard questions, follow the money, and maybe, just maybe, start pulling back the curtain on the real collusion.
The only question now is — how many more companies were secretly frozen out by Arctic Frost? And who’s next?
