Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released a newly declassified document on Monday, showing that special prosecutor Jack Smith spied on the phones of eight US Senators and one US Representative during his witch hunt against Donald Trump. Those GOP politicians are hopping mad, by golly! Furious! The thousands of Trump supporters who had their civil rights violated by the unelected Biden regime over the past four years would like a word with these Senators about their newfound outrage.
If you turned on your television on Tuesday morning, you were treated to several hours of bluster and posturing by many of the Senators who were spied upon. Attorney General Pam Bondi testified in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. They had all just learned that Jack Smith spied on the phones of Rep. Mike Kelly, along with Senators Lindsey Graham, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, Cynthia Lumis, and Marsha Blackburn.

Speaking for all Americans, we shudder to think what Jack Smith’s team found on Lindsey Graham’s phone.
By now, every single one of those GOP Senators and Rep. Kelly has issued public statements and held press conferences to tell everyone how gosh darn mad they are that their phones were spied on. I’m sure that the Senators are very angry about it. It’s infuriating when your government spies on you and violates your right to privacy and your Fourth Amendment right against unlawful search and seizure without a warrant, which is what this was.
But where was that level of anger during the four years when the FBI was doing that to their voters? Do constitutional rights only apply to sitting politicians? Because that’s what this sudden outrage over their phones being spied on for four days in 2021 suggests.
The civil rights abuses that the Biden regime heaped on Republican voters for four years are almost unfathomable. By October 1, 2021, the Biden Department of Justice and the FBI had arrested more than 700 Trump supporters. They arrested January 6ers, pro-lifers, and people who asked too many questions about the 2020 election.
When the Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked in 2022, Democrats firebombed and vandalized 96 pro-life churches and pregnancy crisis centers in America. The FBI made zero arrests in those attacks.
Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, Paul Manafort, and Roger Stone were arrested and sent to prison.
After the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid took place, the FBI raided, subpoenaed, or interrogated more than 1,000 people in Jack Smith’s Arctic Frost operation. They investigated more than 100 conservative organizations that supported Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign.
In one of Sen. Grassley’s latest data dumps from the FBI, the redacted paperwork notes that the FBI questioned 150 people who had worked for campaigns or organizations tied to President Trump’s 2020 election. I was one of them.
Look, I’m really sorry that Jack Smith’s team looked through four days’ worth of Grindr activity on Lindsey Graham’s phone. When the FBI questioned me in September 2022, they had all of my emails, text messages, and phone records dating back to 2011. They had every bit of data from my entire career in political consulting. I’ve worked for more Republican candidates than I can even remember, and they had every bit of digital data from every single one of those campaigns.
The FBI didn’t get that data from me. I never received a subpoena or even a polite request, and I never saw a warrant. They just had it waiting and ready when they called on me for two terrifying interrogations.
Not one of these suddenly outraged GOP Senators or Representatives spoke up for us while this was going on for four years. The Biden regime ignored the Constitution and our civil rights. They arrested more than 1,600 mostly peaceful January 6 protesters, ripped their lives apart, and financially destroyed them. Some of them sat in prison for four years without a trial.
So, spare us the outraged committee hearings that will lead to a “damning final report” at some nebulous point in the future, GOP Senators. You should have been standing up for our rights all these years, and you didn’t.
If they want to stop these abuses from ever happening again, people need to go to prison. Getting them fired from the FBI or the Justice Department does nothing. They’ll all be re-hired as soon as a Democrat is back in the White House. These people, including Jack Smith, need to go to prison.
