This wasn't a close call. This wasn't some razor-thin margin where you could squint and pretend biology doesn't matter. Hernandez won the triple jump by nearly three feet. That's not a victory — that's a demolition.
The long jump margin was more than a foot. And in the high jump, Hernandez tied for first — which, given the other margins, almost feels like an act of mercy.
Former NCAA women's soccer player Sophia Lorey organized a "Save Girls' Sports" rally in response. Tennis legend Martina Navratilova, Olympic gold medalists Nancy Hogshead and Kaillie Humphries, and 12-time NCAA All-American Riley Gaines all spoke out against Hernandez competing against girls. These aren't fringe activists. These are women who actually competed at the highest levels of athletics and know exactly what's being stolen from these high school girls.
And what did California's Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom have to say about all this? Did he stand with the girls who trained their entire lives only to get smoked by a biological male? Of course not. Newsom said he would "stand with all kids and stand up to bullies."
Read that again. The girls — the ones losing their scholarships, their records, their podium spots — are the bullies in Gavin Newsom's California.
This is modern feminism, folks. The movement that was supposed to protect women now can't even define the word. The same people who screamed about Title IX for decades are now cheering as men take women's trophies, women's records, and women's futures.
We used to joke that the left would eventually eat itself. We didn't think they'd start with women's sports and call it progress.
Three events. One meet. One biological male. And every single Democrat who stays silent about this is telling every girl in America that her hard work doesn't matter — because a man in a ponytail gets priority now.
