Here’s a fact that you won’t see reported on the news anywhere yet: The Port of Seattle is empty right now.
The trade war between the United States and China has begun in earnest. There’s going to be some short-term pain from this.
Supply chains are about to be disrupted very badly. Americans are going to be put to the test over the next few months.
We face a major decision. Are we willing to stick with President Trump so that our nation can once again be strong, rich, and free? Or is our addiction to cheap plastic crap from China too strong for us to overcome?
The Port of Seattle is our fourth busiest port in the United States. It’s geographically the closest port in the Lower 48 states to China. If you’ve ever been to Seattle, you know that Puget Sound and Elliott Bay are always hopping with inbound and outgoing cargo ships.
There are no cargo ships there right now. There are no cargo ships waiting to dock and none inbound. There are no ships that are already docked. There are no cargo containers that have been unloaded in the shipyard and there are exactly zero trucks waiting to pick up containers. It’s like a ghost town.
Even in the rare instance when a ship does arrive from China, inbound container volume is now down 80%. Businesses in China know that it would be insane to pay a 145% tariff to try to sell their products to us. They messed with the bull and now they’re getting the horns.
President Trump is about to face unprecedented pressure from the fake news media about this situation. Fortunately, that doesn’t work on him. It will be bumpy for a while. There will be supply chain disruptions. You should buy some gold and brass (wink, wink) to prepare for the next few rocky months.

An even bigger challenge for the president to overcome will be the weak-kneed, cowardly Republicans in the House and Senate who are bought and paid for by Communist China. Lookin’ at you, Sen. Rand Paul!
Just as a reminder, Rand Paul waited until three months after Donald Trump won the 2024 election before he actually endorsed him. We’re going to have to say some things about Rand Paul now that are going to upset a lot of conservatives. Sorry, but it’s true.
Rand Paul has teamed up with Senate Democrats on a bill to kill President Trump’s America First tariffs. He’s working with Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR), Pocahontas Warren (D-MA), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Tim Kaine (D-VA).
They’ve drafted a privileged resolution that would terminate President Trump’s emergency resolution to impose tariffs on other countries. The resolution is expected to pass in the Senate this week.
Fortunately, the resolution is dead on arrival in the House. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has turned out to be surprisingly loyal to the MAGA movement.
The good news is that this situation has exposed another enemy of the America First movement. Rand Paul has finally taken off the mask and revealed his true identity as Mitch McConnell Junior.
I don’t mean to disparage Rand Paul’s sexuality in any way. I’m just saying that if Pooh Bear Xi Jinping walked into a room and saw Rand Paul standing there in one of his little sweater vests… something might happen.
Sen. Paul is trying to be high and mighty by stating that tariffs are taxes and only Congress should have the authority to raise taxes. Uh-huh. And what did Brave Constitution Expert Rand Paul do for the past four years while the unelected Biden regime was taxing the American people up to their eyeballs through runaway inflation?
Republicans in Congress could help reduce inflation right now by simply repealing the falsely named Inflation Reduction Act. That would cut an unnecessary $1.7 trillion from the budget immediately. But Rand Paul is too busy teaming up with Elizabeth Warren to do something useful like that.
Be brave. Don’t be like Rand Paul.
The Port of Seattle is empty right now. There will be supply chain disruptions coming soon. But if we stay the course, President Trump plans to drastically reduce or eliminate the income tax for most Americans. Things will get better on the other side of this trade war, which China is incapable of winning.
