Leftists in America are fighting hard to usher in communism and they’re willing to TRAMPLE on the Constitution to unleash it.
Starting in April 2023, credit card issuer Discover will begin tracking gun purchases made by cardholders, becoming the first company of its kind to do so.
The Independent Journal Review reported “Anyone using a Discover card to make a purchase in a gun store will have that purchase tracked, beginning in April.”
Currently there are more than 55 million Discover cards being used, which means this would mean A LOT of information on who is buying guns would be gathered.
The decision comes as the company seeks to appease the woke left mob who are anti-2A and couldn’t care less if the individual buying the gun is doing so for self-defense.
The effort to monitor who is buying guns in America is being sold as some sort of “crime prevention” tool – but the reality is they’re making a list of gun owners so that when the BIG crackdown comes they will be ready.
Reuters reported that Discover will “allow its network to track purchases at gun retailers come April, making it the first among its peers to publicly give a date for moving ahead with the initiative, which is aimed at helping authorities probe gun-related crimes.”
That’s right, as Reuters notes, Discover is not alone – Other card issuers like Visa and Mastercard are planning to flag gun and ammo purchases in its own special little category after bending the knee to anti-gun activist groups!
Discover claims they “remain focused on continuing to protect and support lawful purchases on our network while protecting the privacy of cardholders.”
Except of course they couldn’t care less about protecting your privacy when it comes to the government and we’ve already seen what lengths federal agencies will go to through partnerships with big corporations i.e. the Big Tech and Federal government joint censorship operations.
What’s next? Are card issuers going to start refusing to process gun related transactions for Americans who they deem have already hit some artificial limit on gun purchases?
It’s clear how easily this can be weaponized against us and because of that leftists are CELEBRATING this major change.
But of course, why wouldn’t they? It’s not as if though they have ANY respect for the Constitution and the Second Amendment in particular. The full-blown communists driving most of the Democrat policy these days want guns gone. PERIOD.
Take anti-gun activist David Hogg for example, who recently tweeted to say that Americans “have no right to a gun.”
They’re DETERMINED to take your guns. It may not be an outright weapon grab at first but with the card issuers now involved they can start to roll out punishments as they see fit, which could go as far as having card issuers decline other purchases like food and water. Don’t put anything past these communists!
