Bridgeport, Connecticut will have to hold one or two additional elections next month to figure out who the town’s mayor is. A judge threw out the Democrat primary results from last September in Bridgeport, because of shocking evidence of election fraud. Incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim defeated challenger John Gomes by just 251 votes in a nail-biter. Then the evidence of ballot harvesting and drop box stuffing started to pour in. Thanks to a surprisingly in-depth investigation by the Connecticut Mirror, we now know that there were shocking amounts of absentee ballot fraud that took place in that Democrat primary.
We say it’s “surprising” because normally the liberal media doesn’t want to look under the hood when it comes to voter fraud. They certainly don’t when it comes to the 2020 election or the 2022 midterm elections in Arizona.
It appeared very clear on election night that Joe Ganim had lost. At his election party headquarters, people were despondent. Ganim wasn’t worried, however. He appeared chipper and upbeat, because he knew that the absentee ballots still had to be counted—and he was oddly confident that he would make up the gap and win from those ballots. He wasn’t wrong.
Wanda Geter-Pataky has been at the center of this story from the beginning. She’s a city employee and the vice chairwoman of the Bridgeport Democrat Town Committee. Geter-Pataky was filmed multiple times stuffing big stacks of ballots into drop boxes in the dead of night. A nagging question that the Connecticut Mirror dug into was: Where’d she get all those ballots?
Wanda Geter-Pataky was not registered to distribute absentee ballot forms. Ballot harvesting is illegal in Connecticut. So… where’d those ballots come from?
The Mirror found that Geter-Pataky had spent the four months prior to Septembers Democrat primary traipsing all across town and passing out absentee ballot applications. She helped 537 voters fill out their absentee ballot applications. The Mirror discovered that ten different Democrats, including Geter-Pataky, ran around town for four months registering 4,300 absentee voters. They went to the poorest apartment blocks, nursing homes, and other places where they could find people who would be willing to request an absentee ballot.
The rival camps of Democrats were practically tripping over each other as they tried to flood the zone with absentee ballots. Multiple people in poor neighborhoods sent in between three and five requests for an absentee ballot, because door knockers kept coming back and the elderly voters couldn’t remember whether they had already sent in a request.
Several people who received absentee ballots told the Mirror that they had never requested one in the first place. Gerry Rhodes, a 65-year-old Democrat voter in Bridgeport, was shown the three applications in his name that were sent in for an absentee ballot. He identified at least one of the signatures as clearly forged. A city council candidate named Kevin Monks supposedly submitted that request.
“Look at the signature,” said Rhodes. “That is not my signature. He was close, but it’s not mine.”
The reason why Rhodes wrote that he was requesting an absentee ballot, according to the forged application, was that he was going to be out of town on the day of the primary. That was a flat-out lie. Gerry Rhodes had just had a kidney transplant and had no plans to travel.
The Connecticut Mirror, to their credit, went to Kevin Monks and asked him why he forged Gerry Rhodes’ signature on a ballot application. Liars often give themselves away on the first sentence before correcting themselves.
“That doesn’t seem possible to me,” said Monks. What did he mean it “didn’t seem possible?” That’s not even an answer!
“I didn’t sign his signature, no way, no how,” Monks said. “I did not sign anyone’s signature.”
Sounds totally innocent!
The Mirror identified more than 60 people on just one street in Bridgeport who had all submitted two or more absentee ballot applications. They also found multiple people who requested replacement forms after they were intimidated into filling out their ballots in front of Ganim’s operatives and then handing the ballots over.
Some quotes from Bridgeport voters:
“Wanda Geter said she would take my ballot to mailbox,” said one.
“I was intimidated by black lady. She took my ballot. She was very aggressive,” said another.
“Someone from Joe Ganim’s team took / filled out my ballot. It was taken from me,” said a third.
What’s amazing about this exhaustive report from the Mirror is that there are such an incredible number of loopholes in the system that allow fraud to take place—and Democrats know how to exploit every single one of them. Absentee voting and mail-in voting are simply too unsecure to continue using them. If we’re a serious country, we’re going to need to ban the practice completely once Donald Trump is reelected next year.
