The Democrats have been going all-in on their efforts to paint Republicans as the villains ahead of midterms, but this NBC anchor just took things to another level.
NBC’s Michael Beschloss has become known for making hyper-partisan claims about Republicans and is now arguing that if Republicans regain power in the midterms children will be “arrested and killed.”
Beschloss spoke on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” after Biden’s most recent speech pushing the familiar narrative that Republicans are a “threat to Democracy.”
“Nights from now, we could all be discussing violence all over this country. There are signs that may happen,” Beschloss claimed without offering any evidence to substantiate his claims.
“May God forbid, that losers will be declared winners by fraudulent election officers, or secretary of state candidates, or governors, or state legislatures.”
“We could be days away from losing our rule of law and losing a situation where we have elections that we all can rely on,” he continued.
“You know, those are the foundation stones of a democracy. So, if Biden had gone on the air and said, the biggest thing we have to worry about is marginal tax rates, or something like that, well, it is important. But what significant presidents do, I think you’ll agree, we both write history, you and I. In 1860, Lincoln didn’t say the biggest issue was — colleges, although he felt strongly. He said the country can’t survive half slave or half free.”
“1940, Franklin Roosevelt didn’t say, you know, the biggest thing I’m worried about is farm policy,” he added. “Farm policy was important to him, but what he did say was, never before, since Jamestown and Plymouth Rock has America been in such danger.”
“Joe Biden is saying the same thing, and a historian 50 years from now, if historians are allowed to write in this country, and if there are still free publishing houses and a free press, which I’m not certain of,” he concluded on the matter.
“But if that is true, a historian will say what was at stake tonight and this week was the fact whether we will be a democracy in the future, whether our children will be arrested and conceivably killed — we’re on the edge of a brutal authoritarian system, and it could be a week away.”
Ironically enough, the dystopian future that Beschloss is describing is already being pushed in this country – except the Democrats are the ones doing it.
Democrat controlled federal agencies have partnered with big-tech platforms to limit and even eliminate free speech wherever they decide.
It is also the Democratic party who has made a habit of rigging elections or refusing to accept the results when they lose fairly – suggesting democracy may have already failed in America.
But let’s not forget what is perhaps Beschloss’ most inflammatory accusation, that Republicans will have people “arrested and killed.” Many Democrats and their supporters actually called for this very thing throughout the COVID pandemic, demanding that anyone who dared to resist their tyrannical mandates be arrested and put in camps, or even killed to extinguish the so-called threat to the public.
