A radical left-wing organization known as ‘Demand Justice’ is preparing to spend millions of dollars supporting Biden’s Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, that same organization, meanwhile, is under fire for comments made by a board member who called the U.S. Constitution “kind of trash.”
Axios recently reported that Demand Justice is going to be leading the charge behind pushing for Jackson’s confirmation.
The organization has already announced a $1 million ad campaign and is reportedly planning to pump in much more money to support the far-left radical nominee.
The leftist group has a projected budget of $7.5 million for 2022, Axios reported that tax exemptions filed with the IRS show, and the affiliated charity Demand Justice Initiative reported to the IRS that it will bring in $4.2 million in 2022.
The leftist organization’s board of directors is comprised of powerful progressives with a serious influence on U.S. politics including former NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue and former Bernie Sanders campaign manager Faiz Shakir.
One board member, the Nation justice correspondent Elie Mystal recently gave a bit of insight into the group’s true motives – calling the Constitution “kind of trash” during an appearance on The View.
“It’s certainly not sacred,” said Mystal of the Constitution The View. “Alright, let’s start there. The Constitution is kind of trash. Again, let’s just talk as adults for a second.”
“What did you say, it’s what?” interrupted Joy Behar.
“It’s kind of trash,” Mystal repeated.
He elaborated: “Trash. It was written by slavers and colonists and white people who were willing to make deals with slavers and colonists.”
“They didn’t ask anybody that looked like me what they thought about the Constitution,” continued Mystal. “This was without the consent of black and brown people in this country, and without the consent of women. That was the starting point. The very least we can do is ignore what those slavers and colonists and misogynists thought and interpret the Constitution in a way that makes sense for our modern world.”
When Behar asked Mystal if he would change the Constitution, he replied bluntly that there were parts of it he would like to remove.
“Popular election for the president, people vote, not land,” he said as he argued to end the Electoral College.
“You can do it in a tweet, right? Term limits for Supreme Court Justices, and how about no states’ rights when it comes to health care, elections, policing, and guns? It’s just better. That’s just better, and you can do that in a tweet.”
The fact that people with motivations like Mystal are able to buy up the Supreme Court by dumping millions into Biden’s new nominee is an extremely troubling sign for the future of America.
Jackson, for her part, is widely regarded as a sort of judicial activist who will put her own views above those of the Founding Fathers – which is exactly what the left wants.
The fact that the Constitution has lasted for 200 yrs is why should be protected and for certainty it has offended some people that is not an excuse to eliminate. As for Mystal slaves were bought as slaves from slave traders to slave traders to be shipped to ,America. Another thought if honesty was considered most peoples whose ancestry is from slavery should looked back to their where their ancestors are now and the lively hood. Obviously, Biden’s choice for the Supreme Court is the LAST person who should be appointed! She has ties with a group that does NOT support the Constitution—how could she possibly swear to support or defend that wonderful design?
