The infamous Twitter Files exposed how the Democrats in the government were using the Big Tech platform as a conduit for their major censorship efforts. Now, Congress has uncovered a treasure trove of emails and documents detailing how they were using Facebook to do just that – except this looks like its EVEN WORSE!
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan landed never before seen emails and documents – dubbing them the “Facebook Files.”
These files were obtained after the Judiciary Committee subpoenaed internal Facebook communications about White House pressure, and these documents are apparently so damming that Mark Zuckerberg was nearly willing to face contempt charges just to avoid having to turn them over!
Facebook and Zuckerberg eventually acquiesced and turned over the communications to Jordan’s committee – and it became immediately clear why they wanted to hide these documents.
One communication from April of 2021 was sent to CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg by a Facebook employee and it read “We are facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the [Biden] White House” to remove posts.
Another April 2021 email saw Nick Clegg, Facebook’s president for global affairs, warn his team Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden, was “outraged that Facebook did not remove a particular post.”
Clegg “countered that removing content like that would represent a significant incursion into traditional boundaries of free expression in the US,” and the Senior Biden Advisor reportedly disregarded the warning altogether – ALONG WITH THE FIRST AMENDMENT!
Facebook then begin to panic, afraid of how an authoritarian Biden White House might “handle them” if they didn’t comply.
Later on in April 2021, Brian Rice, Facebook’s VP of public policy, raised the concern that Slavitt’s challenge felt “very much like a crossroads for us with the [Biden] White House in these early days.”
Rice continued, “Given what is at stake here, it would also be a good idea if we could regroup and take stock of where we are in our relations with the [White House], and our internal methods too.”
The powerful social media company was TERRIFIED of the Biden Regime!
By August, 2021, Facebook had flat-out decided that they were going to change certain policies due to ongoing pressure from the White House.
“[Facebook’s] Leadership asked Misinfo Policy . . . to brainstorm some additional policy levers we can pull to be more aggressive against . . . misinformation. This is stemming from the continued criticism of our approach from the [Biden] administration.”
The White House would also frequently grow enraged if they felt Facebook wasn’t doing a good enough job of censoring conservative speech in particular.
On one occasion, the White House demanded to know why Facebook had not censored a clip from Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News. In response, Facebook was “ready to tell the White House that it had demoted a video posted by Tucker Carlson by 50% in response to the White House’s demands, EVEN THOUGH the post didn’t violate any policies.”
Jordan noted how difficult it was to obtain the information from Facebook, and the fact that they are so afraid of the Biden Regime (which they helped to install) might have had something to do with that.Zuckerberg and his team likely feared EXTREME repercussions from the White House should any of this backdoor censorship be revealed to the public.
Biden and his people have gone mad with power – and even the liberals over at Facebook know it to be true.
