Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart deal” completely imploded in court after the criminal First Son seemed to think he was being granted complete IMMMUNITY from future charges.
Hunter’s lawyers and Joe Biden’s Department of Justice had worked out a plea deal which would have would have kept Hunter out of jail in exchange for him pleading guilty on two tax and one gun charge. A sweetheart deal for sure.
However that didn’t seem to be enough for the international criminal.
The young Biden wanted the DOJ to grant him FULL IMMUNITY from any future charges – which caught the judge’s attention.
US District Judge Maryellen Noreika said that she didn’t understand exactly what Hunter COULD be charged with, and the judge reportedly pressed both Hunter’s lawyers and the federal prosecutors over exactly how immune the deal would make Hunter.
“I don’t really understand the scope” of the agreement, Noreika said in court, questioning whether the deal would protect Hunter from charges related to his countless instances of acting as an unregistered foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
This seemed to expose a disagreement over the terms of the deal, with assistant US attorney Leo Wise saying that Biden could still be charged with several FARA violations – which led a surprised objection from Hunter’s lawyer Chris Clark.
It’s worth noting that the corrupt DOJ just charged Biden family whistleblower Gal Luft with 100 YEARS IN PRISON, thanks in part to a FARA violation, so it’s no surprise that Hunter would try and weasel his way out of being held accountable for committing this same crime.
Noreika suggested a short recess for the two sides to sort this out, but when they came back the deal had completely fallen apart.
The two sides reportedly agreed to a watered down version of the original deal which excluded the portion that granted Hunter full immunity, and the judge rejected it, warning “constitutional issues” could be at play.
With the deal kicked aside, Hunter ultimately pled “not guilty” to the crimes though both sides are expected to continue fighting for the new “sweetheart deal.”
But the major takeaway from all of this was the fact that Hunter Biden and his lawyers seemed to think that the original deal would allow the First Son to get away with his countless crimes – and avoid facing ANY real charges.
The crooked DOJ may have very well implied to Hunter and his legal team that this would be the case behind closed doors.
And if that’s the case then this entire “sweetheart deal” is about much more than simply pretending to be impartial, the DOJ was looking to use these slap on the wrist charges to make sure the president’s son NEVER got in trouble for his foreign business schemes.
Thanks to Judge Noreika catching onto the full implications of this disgustingly criminal agreement, the DOJ was forced to at least PRETEND that they have not been completely corrupted by the Biden regime for a little while longer.
