Feel like you’re paying more at the gas pump? You’re not alone. Fuel prices continue to climb since President Joe Biden entered office, and they’re not expected to stop anytime soon. Unfortunately, gas prices are only one sign among many of the rising costs associated with Biden’s radical leftist agenda.
Lumber prices are also at an all-time high. Experts want to blame a building boom, but it may be more accurate to call it a Biden boom.
From copper and steel to corn and soybean, nearly every market is on the rise in 2021. Moms buying diapers, businesses buying computer and families buying cars are feeling the pain of spiking prices in post-pandemic America.
What is our government doing to help? So far, Biden and friends have proposed more than $7 trillion in increased government spending. If you make below a certain amount, you are expected to get a small check or two to help offset rising costs.
For those on the low end of the spectrum, there is also more available for unemployment. One reason your restaurant can’t keep workers and the lines at the grocery are longer than usual can be blamed on an unemployment check that is equal or sometimes more than retail hourly wage.
The bigger concern is not how the nation’s economy looks today, but where our future is headed. Democrats have no plan to address rising inflation. Experts are predicting various doomsday scenarios in the months ahead.
To be fair, inflation is not impacting only America. The pandemic has led to a shortage of raw materials worldwide. Many of the foreign (often Chinese) products our nation has come to rely on are less available following the coronavirus.
On the other hand, so-called financial experts seem to be out of their mind. One CNBC financial expert claimed after the pandemic, he sees “huge demand as consumers spend the excess savings which they have accumulated.”
Not sure about you, but I don’t know any Americans who have “accumulated” excess savings during the coronavirus. Instead, many have had to fight to keep from going under.
Others more realistically note inflation is on a path to increase 3-4 percent in 2022. That may not seem like much, but add 3 percent per year for the four years Biden is president and everything you buy could cost 12 percent more. It may not mean much for a candy bar, but it sure will the next time you have to get the brakes changed on your car.
The pain at the pump and beyond is not the problem but the result of the problem. The problem is found among those leading the factors driving price changes.
When is the last time you have heard about a tax break from our nation’s leaders? I’m thinking it was about the last time a conservative was president. Don’t expect to see it happen when the left is running the show. They appear to keep focusing on growing government, which means increased taxes leading to higher inflation. Time to change leaders if you’re interested in saving some change in the days ahead.

At 4% per year compounded that is a rise of 17% increase in inflation. Where I live gasoline has gone up 71% since dumb dumb took office and I’m not affected by the cyber attack on the east coast pipeline. Gas goes up everything else goes up. We’re screwed.
