New evidence suggests that Somali-Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) may have perjured herself in her efforts to cover up her fraudulent marriage to her own brother. Omar said under oath in 2017 that she had no way of contacting her former husband/brother, Ahmed Elmi. But an investigation by the Daily Caller News Foundation has revealed that the mysterious Mr. Elmi was building websites for the whole family earlier that same year… meaning Rep. Omar lied under oath.
If you haven’t been following the drama surrounding Rep. Omar’s bizarre personal life, here’s a timeline of events, which will no doubt reassure you once and for all that immigrants are just like you and me.
Ilhan Omar married this one Somali guy when she was 19 years old, according to her Islamic “faith traditions.” So, it wasn’t like a real marriage, but some sort fake Islamic marriage. She already had three children with the guy by the time she was 19. It is impolite in modern America to suggest that Ms. Omar was the victim of statutory rape under Minnesota law by an older Somali refugee, because statutory rape is yet another one of those mysterious “Islamic faith traditions.” (Wait until Minnesotans hear about Somali FGM!)
Then Omar got a fake divorce from her first fake marriage a few years later. She then entered into a real, legal, binding marriage then with Ahmed Elmi, a Somali refugee who Rep. Omar claims is a “British citizen.” While she was legally married to Elmi, she filed her taxes for two years as “Married Filing Jointly” with the first guy that she had the fake marriage with. Then a couple of years later, she did one of those fake divorces from her real marriage (Spoiler alert: That doesn’t count.).
When Omar ran for office, the Republican Party of Minnesota pointed out that an awful lot of people in the Somali community were claiming that Ilhan Omar was actually married to her own brother. Mr. Elmi then immediately fled the country and Rep. Omar filed for a real divorce from him – and paid for her divorce lawyer using campaign funds from donors (which is illegal as hell).
It was during those divorce proceedings that Omar said under oath that she had no idea where her brother… sorry, her “husband” was, that she had no way of contacting him, and had not heard from him since she fake-divorced him in 2011. Told you her backstory was weird!
But the Daily Caller discovered that Mr. Ahmed Elmi set up the website for a company that Omar’s sister runs called Grit Partners. Elmi’s name is actually all over in the source code for the company’s webpage and also their Instagram account, which he helped to set up in before his 2017 divorce from his sister… sorry, his “wife” Ilhan Omar.
Ilhan Omar told a court she had no idea where Elmi was or how to contact him since 2011… but he’s building websites for the family’s businesses in 2017? O… kay…
Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar has never actually denied that this Ahmed Elmi guy is her brother. Rather than giving a straight “Yes” or “No” when asked about the situation, she’s doing that weird Democrat politician deflection thing.
Reporter: “Is Mr. Ahmed Elmi actually your brother?”
Ilhan Omar: “Mr. Elmi is a British citizen.”
Reporter: “So, is that a ‘No’?”
Ilhan Omar: “I WILL NOT BE SILENCED BY THE RIGHT-WING PATRIARCHY! I AM A STRONG WOMYNS!”
Reporter: “Uh… so… is that a ‘No’?”
Omar’s Aide: “Congresswoman Omar is very tired from addressing your racist conspiracy theories. She will answer no more questions about this issue ever again, having satisfactorily responded to your queries.”

Why would she marry her own brother? No one is suggesting this was an incestuous situation, by the way. And rather than referring to Ilhan Omar’s children as his “children” or “step-children” in family photos, as Elmi would have done if he were actually Omar’s legitimate husband, he always refers to the kids as “nieces and nephews.” You know, as if he’s Ilhan Omar’s brother!
The reason for the subterfuge was a simple one: To commit immigration fraud. It takes 12 years for a sibling to obtain citizenship in the US once one of their siblings becomes an American citizen on paper. It takes just a year if you’re a spouse.
Following the latest developments – that Ilhan Omar may have committed perjury in court – she has suddenly denied the media access to any members of her family to answer questions. And the liberal media is playing along by diligently not talking to her family members, because even they are starting to suspect something fishy about Minnesota’s radical new congresswoman.
