The FBI’s affidavit supporting the search warrant for the illegal raid on President Trump’s house was unsealed on Friday. It’s thin gruel. Rather than the “narrow focus” that search warrants – and their supporting affidavits – require, the document is full of inconsistencies. Because it was a fishing expedition all along. Not to mention the fact that the affidavit is full of redactions, supposedly to protect the identities of brave FBI spooks who totally don’t have anything to hide because they’re just doing their jobs, right?
The affidavit is a complete 180-degree difference between what President Trump has said about the 15 boxes of documents stored in the Mar-a-Lago basement, and what the FBI has publicly stated. Both Trump and the FBI found nothing wrong with Trump’s storage of the documents earlier this year, when he cooperated and gave them full access to the basement storage room where the boxes were located and under heavy guard by the Secret Service. The FBI said that everything was properly in order when the visited previously.
But the affidavit says:
“The FBI’s investigation has established that documents bearing classification markings, which appear to contain National Defense Information (NDI), were among the materials contained in the FIFTEEN BOXES and were stored at the PREMISES in an unauthorized location.”
Former national security official Kash Patel has stated repeatedly that everything that was in those boxes had been declassified by President Trump under a standing order from the White House. Another outrageous thing about this debacle is that the government sent these boxes TO President Trump after he left office. The General Services Administration boxed the items and documents up and delivered them to Mar-a-Lago.
Trump did not take them with him when he left the White House. And they were stored properly and securely under guidelines that the FBI literally checked a few months ago. Does anyone honestly believe that Donald Trump even knew what was in these boxes in the basement? Did he sneak down there every night to rifle through paperwork and knickknacks from his time in the White House? Really?
The most shocking part of the affidavit by far states that the FBI isn’t exactly sure what it was looking for. What?! The FBI conducted a raid HOPING to find something on the President’s political rival?! Maybe they were looking for classified documents, or maybe they were looking for presidential records. No big deal. Just the nation’s largest law enforcement agency raiding the home of a former president because they were NOT SURE WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR.
The affidavit says:
“There is probable cause to believe that additional documents that contain classified NDI [National Defense Information] or that are Presidential records subject to record retention requirements currently remain at the PREMISES.”
So, they didn’t know if they were looking for classified docs under a criminal investigation, or for presidential records for which there is no criminal enforcement allowed. If the National Archives wants a document back from a former president, they can do so through the civil courts. It’s a civil matter. What cannot happen – and there’s plenty of federal precedent for this – is that federal law enforcement can’t simply raid a president’s home and seize documents.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson – a rabid liberal Obama appointee – ruled in federal court in 2012 that there can be no criminal enforcement over presidential records. That was during Judicial Watch’s lawsuit against the National Archives, when they tried to obtain the so-called “Clinton sock drawer tapes.” Judge Jackson dismissed the case on the grounds that presidents have broad authority to declassify public records at will or even to destroy said records. If Donald Trump had wanted to set those 15 boxes on fire, he had every right to do so. If he wanted to open the boxes up and sell every single document on eBay, he had every right to do so.
That’s what the law says and it’s how Judge Jackson ruled just a decade ago. But as we’ve seen time and time again, laws, standards and norms can all be thrown out the window when the libs are trying to get Trump.

Hillo’Beans clearly committed a crime by taking these documents, being she was not president. Presidents, of which Trump (was and – in my opinion – still is)have a different set of rules. They may at will, declassify whatever documents they would like to. And, guess what? He did that! Clinton did not have ANY authority at all, being she was not a President. Also, being that Trump himself did not pack the boxes – and they were SENT to him, he is entirely off the hook. Even so, he should be able to have them if the archives, who packed them up, did not raise a concern. I guess whatever they find of relevance to indictment were planted by the FBI during the raid. We can assume that is the plan they had. The entire thing is shady from the start. But like every leftist scheme…they will get away with it and our Patriotic President (Trump) they will TRY to indict. It is laughable and very sad for all Americans who just want what is good and right for our nation and our families….not the nightmare we have been living under for almost 2 years.

The way the actions of the FBI have been described it sounds like they committed a burglar to Trumps home. There should be people involved going to prison.
