Trump Announces Deportations of Illegals to Start Next Week

Earlier this week, President Trump said, “Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in.” Right now there are millions of illegal people living in the United States.

The President had this to say to reporters waiting for him on the White House lawn, “Mexico, using their strong immigration laws, is doing a very good job of stopping people … long before they get to our Southern Border. Guatemala is getting ready to sign a Safe-Third Agreement. The only ones who won’t do anything are the Democrats in Congress. They must vote to get rid of the loopholes, and fix asylum! If so, Border Crisis will end quickly!”

Mark Morgan, who is the current acting director of ICE, has stated “We don’t exempt anybody. I don’t think you want the director of ICE exempting a demographic that is in violation of our immigration laws based on my own political, personal ideology or moral stance.”

There has been some concern that ICE targets a certain demographic or people group for deportation. The idea of targeting demographics came from a response from Thomas Homan, former director of ICE, when he said in a Homeland Security Meeting, “Of course, I expect a lot of lets say, ‘Why are we targeting families and not criminals?’ But if they’re given their due process and a federal judge makes their decision, if we don’t execute those decisions, there’s no integrity in the system.”

Morgan sought to uphold the balance between the ruling of the courts and the people those ruling affected. If the judge ruled that the person or family was to be deported; they were deported. Homan would retire weeks later and ICE would struggle to uphold immigration decisions decided by the courts.

There must be a balance between the actions of the immigration officers and the decisions that the court makes. Really ICE should be enforcing the decisions of the court regardless of the person being deported.

The crisis at the border is part of a larger problem that President Trump is trying to solve. There are so many people waiting for their court date to come that there is no longer room for people to be detained.

Most detentions centers are so overpopulated that they are forced to release these illegals into our cities and towns. They give them a future court date to show up at for an immigration trial, but as we’ve reported in the past, over 90% of illegals never show up for it.

President Trump wants to target millions of illegal aliens in America. He has gone to Congress requesting over $300 million to help expand the efforts at the border. Some of those efforts include improving the living conditions at the border and enforcing current laws. Some skeptics believe that the number of people that could be arrested would only amount to thousands and not millions.

One DHS spokesperson stated “If they’re not careful how they do this, some of these images could be truly awful. I’m talking about having social services involved, I’m talking about detaining parents.” What people are going to be looking for in the treatment of how people are handled. Many officials believe that the integrity of ICE and all involved need to be protected.

ICE operations are rarely announced to the public or to the media. Many times the operation is not even announced to Congress for fear that they could leak it to the media or public. But as President Trump has said there are so many millions of illegal aliens living within our borders (estimates range from 12 to 20 million) that there is no worries about publicizing this operation.

President Trump is committed to making the United States a safe place to live. Everything that he has been doing has been for the sake of America. To get the problems at the border under control would mean huge success for President Trump and all those that support him.
