Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee has appealed to a federal court in Los Angeles, suggesting that the committee wants to criminally charge President Donald Trump. They claim that Trump tried to “criminally defraud” the United States by urging Vice President Mike Pence to reject the electors from the states where Democrats committed election fraud in 2020.
This is our two-tiered system of justice at work once again. Democrats accuse Republicans of committing crimes that they are guilty of themselves, and try to prosecute them, while the Department of Justice ignores or excuses blatant crimes by the Democrats.
Let’s review the mostly peaceful protest that took place at the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021, after President Trump urged the crowd to peacefully march to the building and make their voices heard. Capitol Police and DC Metro police threw flash bang grenades into the peaceful crowd. They murdered Ashli Babbitt execution-style and without warning; they clubbed Roseanne Boyland to death and had the DC Medical examiner cover it up by declaring her death a prescription drug overdose; and they permanently injured and maimed an unknown number of Trump supporters by using the most violent (and unlawful) police tactics possible.
Several cops were injured by Trump-supporting military veterans who were trying to stop police from killing women and senior citizens. Some Antifa plants and professional FBI agitators broke four windows in the Capitol building. Otherwise, the peaceful protesters gingerly walked between the velvet ropes in Statuary Hall of the Capitol and didn’t break or burn anything.
In response, the Justice Department engaged in a “shock and awe” campaign to arrest the peaceful protesters after they went home. A single mom in Arizona was arrested when the FBI showed up at her mobile home with armored vehicles and helicopters. Another January 6er had his front door knocked down by an armored vehicle with a mounted battering ram, when FBI SWAT teams showed up to arrest him. Innocent people were arrested and harassed, even in Alaska, because the FBI had mistakenly identified them as January 6 protesters.
Dozens of January 6ers who are guilty of nothing more than trespassing (if that) are still being tortured in solitary confinement in the DC jail, awaiting their trials which might happen sometime this year.
All that over a peaceful protest of the certification of Joe Biden, who is now wrecking the country.
And Trump is somehow guilty of some criminal conspiracy over this? You should go play in traffic if you believe that.
Contrast that with the actual seditious insurrection that happened in Washington, DC not that long ago. It happened on January 20, 2017 – Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day. Thousands of black bloc Antifa and BLM Democrat Party domestic terrorists showed up in Washington, DC to try to stop the peaceful transfer of power to the incoming Trump administration.
They staged massive riots across Washington, DC. Those not-peaceful protesters barricaded streets and blocked traffic. They threw rocks, bricks and chunks of concrete at cops, sending several officers to the hospital.
On K Street, they set trash dumpsters on fire, broke store windows, smashed the windows of a police SUV as it tried to drive past the rioters, and set a car on fire to barricade the street.
On 13th Street, they set fires in the street, broke store windows, broke the glass at bus stops, threw fireworks at police, and smashed the windows of a passing limousine.
Four cops were hospitalized with serious injuries in those clashes, mostly from bricks that were thrown at them.
The Secret Service disrupted an Antifa plot to inject poison gas into the ventilation system at a hotel where Trump supporters were having an inauguration dance and party that evening.
All of this was planned and coordinated. The Justice Department obtained Antifa emails outlining the plot shut down the city, cause as much chaos and destruction as possible, and stop Donald Trump from taking the oath of office. It was a seditious insurrection and a criminal conspiracy. 217 people were arrested that day and charged with rioting.
Guess what happened to them? Yep. Washington, DC prosecutors dropped the charges against every single one of them. No one went to jail for that seditious conspiracy, and the FBI became wildly disinterested in going after Antifa for the next four years.
Trump’s first act when he gets back into the White House is crystal clear. He needs to eviscerate the Justice Department and abolish the FBI. We cannot continue as a nation this way, with two different standards of justice.

When the committee was authorized it was given rules on how the committee was to be organized. These rules have yet to be followed thus the Committee is not a legal committee and has no power to investigate or subpoena anyone. It is totally lawless that this “committee” has been allowed to meet and that anyone has been coerced to appear before it.

The problem with that interpretation is that, while there are two tiered systems in the courts, they are not divided on black/white….they are divided on have/have not….your comment is emotional so it is hard to tell what the real situation was to which you are referring but this have/have not justice system has been going on for decades….when far too many blacks are in the “have not” category, they wrongly assume that decisions are made because of skin color…that may be the case in some instances but primarily decisions are made on the have/have not status…when there are two have nots, decisions are made on behavior and presentation….like it or not…human behavior…
