One of special prosecutor Jack Smith’s main lawfare tactics against President Donald Trump has been to prevent him from seeing the evidence against him. It’s kind of hard to defend yourself when you don’t know what the evidence is, who’s accusing you, or anything else related to the federal government’s case against you.
Smith just suffered a major blow last week, however. Judge Aileen Cannon, who is overseeing the BS classified documents case against Trump, rejected a big slough of Smith’s secrecy requests. She’s not playing along with the legal shenanigans that Smith’s team is trying to get away with.
Back in February, President Trump’s legal team sought to compel discovery in the classified docs case from numerous federal agencies. In response to those requests for discovery, which all defendants in America are entitled to, Smith sought to deny Trump’s access to all of the following.
Smith argued that Trump is not entitled to discovery of internal government correspondence and memos or any other privileged DOJ documents. He argued that the judge should deny Trump’s requests for evidence of improper coordination with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and of bias and investigative misconduct.
Smith also argued that any evidence related to Trump’s security clearance (nuclear secrets) with the Department of Energy be denied. Don’t forget, Smith then had Trump’s security clearance with the Energy Department rescinded the day after he indicted Trump in this case—which would make it illegal for Trump to possess classified docs related to nuclear secrets and would prevent him from being able to see any classified documents in the trial against him.
Judge Cannon, fortunately, never bought Smith’s argument on this dishonest ploy. You can’t grandfather someone into a crime after the fact by revoking their security clearance and then claiming they committed a crime before the clearance was revoked.
As far as we know, Trump is the only former president to ever have this security clearance rescinded.
Next, Smith urged Cannon to deny Trump access to any evidence related to secure facilities at Trump’s own residences. He also asked the judge to deny Trump’s requests for production of materials concerning the search of Mar-a-Lago. And last but not least, Smith urged Judge Cannon to deny Trump’s request for any unredacted materials from the government.
This is the most Soviet-like show trial that most people have ever seen. How is Donald Trump supposed to get a fair trial when he can’t see any of the evidence against him?
Fortunately, Judge Cannon shot down every single one of Smith’s requests. Good grief, Donald Trump is a former President of the United States. There’s no good reason to deny him access to evidence in the government’s case against him.
Frankly, there’s no good reason to do that with any defendant in any criminal case in America. That’s not how our legal system works.
Judge Cannon unsealed a trove of unredacted documents at the end of last week, and there is at least one major bombshell in them. As we’ve pointed out all along, NARA dumped a huge pile of boxes in the driveway at the White House on January 15, 2021, and told Trump’s team to come move them. This is without dispute.
The official story all along is that those boxes were then trucked to Mar-a-Lago, and you know the rest of what happened. But that wasn’t the full story, according to the docs that Judge Cannon just released unredacted.
An FBI agent testified that an entire pallet of those boxes ended up at the office of the General Services Administration in Virginia for several days. The GSA then instructed Trump’s team to come pick those boxes up on January 21, 2021—the day after Joe Biden was illegitimately installed in the White House.
The boxes that were not in the possession of Trump’s people for an entire week were the ones that ended up having documents with “classified markings” on them.
In a nutshell, the government had these boxes in government storage and then shipped them to Trump, before they charged him with possessing the boxes and revoked his security clearance. For all we know, the corrupt FBI may have planted classified documents in those boxes during the week when they were not in Trump’s possession.
As Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch put it, “It was a set-up from the get-go.”

As President and former president, President Trump is entitled to documents by the Presidential Documents Act. They are declassified as they are in his pocession. He is the one qualified to do so. Now let’s talk about hillary and biden being in pocession of classified documents. They are not qualified to have these or declassify them. The lines between the lawful ownership and the unlawful ownership and espionage of the other two is not blurred. It is evident.
Let’s not forget about Hillary, the most crooked of the crooked politicians. How has she avoided prosecution and jail time. If we knew, there would be others that would go to prison with her. We still have hope that President TRUMP will continue his “drain the swamp” when re- elected.
