What’s the Deal between President Donald Trump & Governor Ron DeSantis?

Okay, what’s the deal? Are they fighting? Are they not fighting? What’s going on between the two most popular conservative leaders in the American right these days? Are Donald and Ron no longer BFFLs (Bestie Friends For Life)?

It’s hard to tell what’s going on from the outside here, but we can make some educated guesses. Forget about the fact that Ron DeSantis is up for reelection this week. He’s going to win that handily, and possibly by a lot. What we’re really talking about here is the 2024 election, and what’s going to happen there. That is the biggest question of all.

I’m going to say some things now that are going to tick some people off. Bear with me. Full disclosure: I’ve got beef with Ron DeSantis. I’ve also got beef with Donald Trump. Both men (probably) want to be elected the next President of the United States in 2024, and they want our votes. If DeSantis decides to run, the two leaders are going to have a big fight. Great! May the best man win!

DeSantis made a very BAD move early in his career that has always given me pause. When he was a young Congressman, a US Representative from Florida, I was working with a group lobbying Republicans to get them to oppose Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s Trans-Pacific Partnership treaty.

Congressman DeSantis voted to fast-track that job-killing treaty for Obama. After Donald Trump was elected in 2016, he nuked that treaty. Trump also helped push DeSantis across the finish line in the 2018 Florida governor’s race, where DeSantis narrowly squeaked out a win against drug addled, nude wrestler Andrew Gillum (boy, did you Floridians dodge a bullet there!).

With all that being said, I would still absolutely and without hesitation vote for DeSantis on Tuesday if I lived in Florida. He’s made some mis steps here and there as a young Congressman, but the dude showed every other governor and government leader how to keep a state afloat and thriving during a worldwide pandemic. He’s also showed he has the ability to stand up to the liberal media. He’s an America First patriot and a true conservative. Everyone in Florida should vote for him.

Now, what’s my beef with Trump? He’s terrible at hiring people. This is surprising because he’s such a good businessman. But he needs to be more ruthless about the people he’s going to surround himself with if he wants my vote in 2024. He can’t have lukewarm people on his staff. He can’t have outright enemies on his staff. He can’t have anyone who used to have his last name on his staff, who can wrap him around her little finger and change the course of Trump populism against his instincts. (Sorry, Ivanka. You gotta go.)

It makes total sense for Ron DeSantis to run for president in 2028. He could finish out his second successful term as Governor of Florida in 2026 and seamlessly transition into the two year stretch it will take to run in 2028. The timing for this would be perfect. DeSantis wouldn’t irritate the voters in Florida by doing this, and he wouldn’t infuriate us MAGA folks. He’s young enough that this would work out fine for him.

But DeSantis is being lured by the siren song of GOPe RINO corporate cash right now. His biggest financial backer is a super PAC called “Friends of Ron DeSantis,” which is flush with cash ($150 million) from billionaire Ken Griffin.

Griffin has stated that his goal in backing DeSantis is to strangle Trump populism in its crib, so that the Republican Party can go back to being the “country club” party of the 1990s, which was disengaged from and always losing the culture wars while not caring at all about the American people.

I know that we all like DeSantis policy wise, and he’s done a great job as Governor of Florida. But right now, he’s been endorsed for 2024 by Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and Jeb! Anybody else feel nervous about that?

One last thing to think about: After President Trump referred to him as “Ron Desanctimonious” at that Pennsylvania rally over the weekend, DeSantis quietly began telling his RINO donors that he’s not going to challenge Trump in 2024. And at Trump’s subsequent rally in Miami, he backed away from the nickname and called DeSantis a very good friend. Make of that what you will.

  1. As has been stated, Desantis is Desantis because of Trump. Actually, we need them both to offset the horrible presidency we currently have! We have little time left to correct this world of shit, so Desantis needs to run as VP to Trump and ready himself for the ‘28 run!!! God Help Us!!!

  2. I think there must be one agenda for both Ron Desantis and Donald Trump and that is to get new blood into Congress.
Both of them must combine there efforts and drain the swamp dry and in my opinion only Donald Trump should focus on being speaker of the house and Desantis as our new president that is the only way to get results in Bringing down the Biden Family And put the crooked leftist gang in prison for treason and inside Trading Along with the Clintons And Obama.
The Democratic Congress thinks they have more Teflon than any body protecting them are finding out that there is a kink in there armor and every thing will fall apart at the seams if the GOP Has any thing to say about it. It may be a little premature to say the Republicans will win in a land slide but my glass is half full for that to happen I believe the tides have turned and the bid red wave will turn into a category 10 hurricane leaving destruction to the Democratic party in it’s wake.Time will tell at this point.

  3. Start making money this time… Spend more time with your family & relatives by doing jobs that only require you to have a computer and an internet access and you can have that at your home. Hax Start bringing up to $65,000 to $70,000 a month. I’ve started this job and earn a handsome income and now I am exchanging it with you, so you can do it too.

    Here is I started.…………… https://homedollerpay80f07.pages.dev

  4. I voted for Donald in both elections, His ideas are good, but I really wish he could be a little more diplomatic with his childish mouth. He needs more than his 40 % base to support him and to get more he has to learn how to stop saying things stupidly. I gave money in both his elections but that well has dried up. I will give to Desantis I like his ideals and he is younger. We have had enough of 70 something. The Republican party has to come together, and Trump can’t do it, Desantis can.

  5. I just don’t get it. It’s true that Trump ran this country as a businessman and Biden as a career politician ( and very, very badly I would add. Actually tragic). Trump made and continues to make a lot of blunders. We should be able to come up with someone better! Ridiculous. Why is DeSantis cowtailing to him?? Doesn’ make sense either,

  6. i think Trump should get DeSantis to run as VP with him in 2024 two men that I think would be very good for our country we could have the two of them for 4 years and DeSatis for the next 8 years if they can put aside there childish spat both have great ideas both seem to be good people and love this great country

  7. My Co Worker’s step-sister created $7500 the previous week. cd14 She gets paid on the laptop computer and moves into a $57000 condo. All she did was get blessed and apply the guide leaked on this net site.

  8. President Trump and DeSantis Should be the ticket. after four years DeSantis could run for the PREZ. and the two of them could do a lot together.

  9. We have allowed our country to be taken over by very ambitious and very corrupt scoundrels who use the power and influence they gain thru politics to enrich themselves at the expense of the people who are duped, played, manipulated, and propagandized to keep these crooked, criminally-minded individuals in power!
Control, “by any means necessary” and “never let[ting] a good crisis go to waste” are only balanced by corrupt politicians accidentally sharing the truth, as when 0bama told us “never underestimate the ability of joke biden to fvck things up!”
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
One manner of ensuring that the criminal enterprise known as today’s democrat party is removed from power is to allow those who have a greater interest in the survival of the United States than in their own self-enrichment are put into the position of regaining control over a sufficient amount of time to break the backs of the ultra-rich demons who have been in control.
President Trump should be allowed to further expose the deep-state” swamp creatures over his next four-year term, and then President DeSantis should be brought in to keep the trend going in favor of the American people!
