President Joe Biden just unilaterally issued an order to the Pentagon – sanctioning the deployment of thousands of American soldiers to Europe in order to support Ukraine’s war effort.
In an order released by the White House, Joe Biden apparently decided that it’s “necessary to augment” U.S. forces committed to Ukraine.
Biden’s order allows for the Pentagon to add 3,000 more soldiers to the roughly 80,000 who are already in Europe to “deter” Russian aggression.
Biden wrote in a message to Congress, “By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility.”
Operation Atlantic Resolve is a “contingency operation” according to the Pentagon, which began back in 2014 but Biden has been quietly using it to send more and more American troops to the region – risking a direct confrontation with Russia.
The Pentagon is claiming that no troops will be deployed for combat in Ukraine BUT having them in the region risks a potential conflict breaking out at any time.
Army Lieutenant General D.A. Sims, the Joint Staff J3 director of operations, “Based on the level of presence and operations in the U.S. [European Command] area of operations, DOD’s support requirements have grown, as well. These authorities will enable the department to better support and sustain its enhanced presence and level of operations in the U.S. EUCOM [area of responsibility].”
He also said the moves reaffirm “the unwavering support and commitment to the defense of NATO’s eastern flank in wake of Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war on Ukraine.”
This comes at a time when the U.S. is clearly ramping up the level of weaponry it is sending into Ukraine, recently having sent over Cluster munitions to add to the never ending flow of American tax-payer funded support being sent to Ukraine.
So at the very same time that Biden is more heavily arming Ukraine, he seems to be doing everything in his power to get more American soldiers in the position to fight on the ground.
Is he TRYING to start World War 3?
Biden’s executive order came just a day after he left a NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, where NATO members pledged continued support for Ukraine in its war against Russia and the president admitted that the U.S. has “given more than any other nation combined in terms of assistance and cost.”
But apparently that’s not enough for Joe – he wants to give them American soldiers too! This won’t end well.

I don’t suppose anyone here would care to explain how much more provocative 83,000 troops are than 80,000. How do those extra 3,000 troops bring us closer to war? NATO must deter Russia from its imperialist, expansionist aims. It’s giving in to despots like Putin that inevitably ends badly. This knee-jerk reaction to anything Biden does is just foolish.
